For this , we’re featuring one of our favorite charities. The Blessing Box is a micro pantry located at the Randolph-Roanoke Career Technical Center. We stocked it during our anniversary week and again last night. Both times, it was completely empty. If you’re in Wedowee, please consider helping keep the micro pantry stocked. If we all take a little, the box will have a lot!

It’s one of our favorite days- !!! Sweet Lillie has been a patient of James’s for quite some time! Her mommy is one of the coolest people we know, and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with Lillie. Her favorite party trick is praising the Lord, and we think this sentiment is perfect as a sweet end to a long week! Happy Friday, friends, and PTL it’s almost the weekend! 💕

For today’s , we wanted to share some insight into how we operate. We often have clients call and ask us for diagnoses and treatment options via phone. Unfortunately, many times, we aren’t able to give a direct answer. That’s because there are often many steps to reaching an accurate diagnosis and creating an appropriate treatment plan for your pet. Trying to reach the diagnosis without appropriate examination, diagnostics, and imaging is like trying to get to the top step without using the stairs in between. Our guarantee to you is that we will never do more than is necessary to treat your pets, but we will do everything necessary to ensure they receive the best care possible.

Today is our favorite veterinarian’s birthday!

This picture was taken eight years ago when James graduated vet school, but it’s one of my very favorites. That was a day of pure joy for him. He may not have known where life would take him in eight years, but one thing hasn’t changed- he still loves vet medicine. He told me just this week he loves what he does, and not many people are privileged to say that. I believe that love for his profession is clearly evident in the passion he gives to his work each day.

But… he loves fishing, too, so here’s hoping the fish are biting on his birthday tonight! Happy birthday, James!

We’re starting a new series today- ! We had the BEST time capturing some amazing images of some of our awesome furry friends, and we’ll be sharing those over the next few weeks. Up first is Axel. He is such a beautiful, regal dog, but he’s also affectionate and playful, as you can tell from the pictures. He is the quintessential gentleman and model, and it was such a pleasure to photograph him for our campaign. He and Dr. Yarbrough have a special relationship. Tori and I honestly loved every second of this and all our other pet sessions. They’re honestly soooo fun! We hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as we enjoyed taking them (well, Tori took them… I just made funny faces and sounds to get them to look at the camera 😜).

Today, we celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary, all four of us together. We don’t get to spend nearly as much time this way as we’d like. All too often, James is on a farm call or taking care of an emergency or trying to finish the daily tasks and running late. And sometimes, I’m the one working odd hours. We had no real idea how all-consuming owning this business would be. It has been so wonderful in so many ways, but I won’t lie, it hasn’t been all roses, either. There have been some hard days and nights. It’s put a strain on our family dynamics like we could have never imagined. So we needed today. We needed some time to stop and focus on our little family unit and acknowledge that we made it yet another year. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. In celebrating these two anniversaries, it’s given us time to reflect on the mistakes we’ve made, assess how we’re doing, and make plans for improvement in the future. God has been so good to us and we’re so incredibly thankful for all His blessings. One of our reflection verses this week fits our circumstances perfectly- “May the Lord give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” -Ps. 20:4. We stepped out in faith, praying that He would guide us. He has already done so much for us and we’re going to continue praying he’ll bless us for many years to come, because we know every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Thank you all for your support! 💙

As we close our anniversary week, we can think of nothing better than reminiscing on all the special times we’ve shared with you. 💙💛

Today’s portion of our anniversary celebration was a true labor of love. I don’t think either James or I could adequately articulate how much we love HOME. We believe that when God blesses us, we must pay it forward. Charity is an action verb and we want our boys to learn the value of service and love for fellow man. We chose three charities near and dear to our hearts to return to the community a portion of what has been poured into us this year. Over the next three weeks, we’ll tell you more about each of these charities- Brown Bag Buddies, The Blessing Box, and Randolph County Animal Shelter. The first picture is one of my favorites because four Target employees brought out our order and worked together to help me separate items and fill my car so I could easily find the donations for each location. When I told them what we were doing, they were all eager to help, each with a smile. Remember- kindness begets kindness.

This , we can’t help but relive the amazing holiday weekend we had! We watched fireworks in Woodland Wednesday night and they were AMAZING, spent Thursday on the lake with family, attended the rodeo Friday AND Saturday nights, and enjoyed Wedowee’s parade Saturday morning followed by lunch at Miss Amber’s. We love small-town life and we love visiting the other small towns in our county. Check out some of the pictures from the parade and stay tuned for more fun to come!

We’ve had so many people approach us lately about lost and found fur babies, so we decided to create a pinned post for LOST pets and one for FOUND pets. When posting, please include the date, a good description of the pet, the location it was last seen, and any other information that may help locate your lost pet or help an owner identify a found pet.

Today’s isn’t as “cute” as puppies or kitties, but it’s a project near and dear to my heart. I LOVE our logo. Most days of the week, you’ll see me wearing a shirt with our logo on it. I also LOVE color. James likes blue, and I do, too, but I love so many other colors, as well. So… I collaborated with our t-shirt maker and maybe went a little crazy ordering ALL the colors. From youth size XS-XL and adult size S-3X, there should now be a size and color for everyone. We also decided to put the logo on the front across the chest, and I’m obsessed. All these shirts are now available at WAH. Youth sizes are $16 and adult sizes are $18. And never fear, for those of you who buy your Dixie Doodle dog treats at the clinic, they’re still there in those two drawers on the left!

📣MODEL WINNERS 📣

Honestly, this was one of the most difficult processes EVER! Our judges LOVED every entry, and we had NO IDEA we’d have so many entries. To choose from close to 300 submissions was almost impossible. In fact, it was so hard, I contacted Tori and asked for a second round of minis and she agreed! So, we’ve opened another day of minis so we could choose 16 total winners. Our winners will be contacted individually to work out session information, but we wanted to publicly acknowledge them on our page. If your pet wasn’t chosen, don’t lose heart- we’ll be doing this again in the future and selecting new winners then! Congratulations to our winners and we’ll be in touch soon!
