SS ASTRA (SS CALYPSOS GALAXY x SS AJMALINA by AJMAN MONISCIONE) 2020 chestnut filly and SS BALLERINA (CALYPSO OS x SS ROYAL AT by SS ATILGAN by QR EXCEL) 2020 bay filly proudly bred by Ottoman Arabians and purchased by Muteb & Montana of Prestige Arabians last month. These two refined fillies are big movers with lots of attitude and the same self-carriage we have come to expect from CALYPSO OS and his offspring. They are entering quarantine now as they begin their journey to Muteb & Montana's amazing farm in Saudi. We are so excited to see them represent our herd sire, CALYPSO OS, abroad as they start their show careers with Muteb in the Middle East!

We just delivered TEN amazing, never seen before Calypso get and grandget to Greg Knowles' Arabian Expressions Farm in Scottsdale, AZ! Eight fillies and two c**ts arrived just in time to represent our 40 years breeding program during the Scottsdale New Years Eve Barn Tour and February show! All are available for your consideration. We will post many pics here to give you a sneak peak, but you had better go see them soon, as we expect them to sell very quickly!

Calypso OS grand daughter just born--the grey filly SS CALYPSOS FANTAZJA at just 12 hours old!

SS CALYPSOS HILAL had his first foal!!! June 12, 2019 Grey filly SS Calypsos Fantazja (SS Calypsos Hilal x SS Calypsos Fancy) at 12 hrs old--truly a dream for our breeding program. We named her after her great great great grandmother, Fantazja (Negatiw x Fornarina) from Poland, who set a record for being selling for the highest price at the time. We chose her sire, a Calypso OS son crossed with our foundation Polish program, and bred a dozen mares to him. She is just the first to arrive and makes us very excited what else is coming in the next few weeks! This filly is the result of linebreeding to Calypso to set the type using mares chosen based on the phenotype we want for our program. Fortunately, despite being premature two weeks, in**ed, and out of a young maiden mare, this filly shows absolutely no weakness in vitality or traits that can be associated with inbreeding. As we all know, many of the world's historically successful breeding horses were the result of close familial breeding and as a result able to pass on their traits with good consistency, also known as "fixing the type." Likewise, this filly was up, running around with tail up, haunches tucked down underneath at less than one day old. She has the best of both worlds, with Calypso's type and her upright neck and extraordinarily long poll, a trait bred 100's of generations into our Polish foundation stock. She goes back to Fantazja's daughter, Florida by Elkin bred by Mike Nichols, we purchased in the late 1970's. For this reason, this filly represents over 40 years of our breeding program. She is also triple *Menes. She is also very confident, a trait Calypso OS consistently gives to his offspring. As you can see, Hilal passed on some of his unique traits, such as his curly ears and upright neck, but we also see Calypso OS in her skull shape, large nostrils, and markings. It takes a lot to get us excited these days, but we are anxious to take some video of her to post for all of you to see just how magnificent this one really is!

She is not as photogenic as we'd hoped, unfortunately, so pics do not do her justice at all. We are experimenting with lenses and angles in our photoshoots, trying to show just how large are her eyes and hooky are her ears (her ears are litterally paper thin with Calypso's trademark "double curl"). As you can see with the white hairs around her eyes and muzzle, this little girl will be graying out very quickly, sure to become a true ethereal beauty!
