I’ve been quiet on social media lately, haven’t teased Christmas designs, and have yet to set a Christmas release date. I owe y’all an explanation.

I’ve known for quite some time that this life wasn’t sustainable but just kept trying to make it work. If you don’t know, I’m a high school chemistry teacher by day. I pour my heart and soul into my students everyday.

Maybe it was the events of this year (losing Ellie and bringing a new puppy into the mix), the fact that my students know I’m exhausted on a Monday morning after a market weekend, or maybe it was the realization that I haven’t done something for myself in a very long time. But after numerous business meetings with myself during long drives home from markets…I’m just tired.

What does this mean for Bandyanas? We won’t be attending a record number of markets next year, and we won’t be traveling super far. We might not be vendors at the markets where you expect us. Etsy will remain open. We aren’t closing up shop… just reigning it in.

I have the day off from teaching tomorrow (which means a full day for Bandyanas), so stay tuned for a Christmas release date.

Remember that when I say “we,” it’s really just me.

I’ll say it again… Bandyanas has been my biggest surprise and wildest ride.

After this insane weekend, I’d love nothing more than to be a couch potato for a few days. But…

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! This weekend was nothing short of amazing. The biggest one day sales ever, and the biggest weekend in the history of Bandyanas. The number of returning customers and compliments on our products made my heart so full.
