This is a time lapse video of what transpires in our IVF lab on the day after fertilization. As you can see, there are so many details that go into making a bovine IVF embryo.

Check out this is a fascinating video showing the fertilization of oocytes. So how exactly does the IVF process work? First, oocytes are collected from the donor’s ovaries, we call this aspiration. They are then matured in the lab for approximately 24 hours. At in-vitro fertilization(in the video), conventional or sexed semen is added with the oocytes. After fertilization, the embryos are kept in incubators with controlled oxygen for 7 days. After that period, they can be transferred or frozen.
