Its official! Tranquil Acres will be relocating a short distance of 5.6 miles away, with 15 acres and three barns for the horses! We are beyond excited, wee bit overwhelmed with the adventure ahead, but a dream come true! This will allow each horse to have a full acre of pasture and run ins for freedom!

We hope you will follow in this journey as we expand and provide a wonderful retirement for the horses!

A very special young lady has been working at the barn for two years now. She had zero interest in the horses at first...now she has her own mini and is leasing one of the standard horses for fair

Below is an assignment she chose to use the farm as her example. I am proud of how much these horses have helped her and the lessons she has learned. They touch many hearts but the heart of a young teenage girl is so rewarding

Thank you Troop 494 for sharing our morning with the horses and understanding more about them! we had stations set up to teach the kids about how to care for a horse, parts of the horse, grooming and different types of horse tack. They learned alot about big Tommy and that no matter what handicap you have you can still live life to its fullest! Thank you for the generous donations

Star came to us few months ago. And has had a tough adjustment. Biting, kicking and just not liking her environment. Finally figured out her secret. She does not like being stalled at night next to her stall mates. So as much as weather permits this beautiful girl stays outside. Such a happy lady!

Relocating to Wellington was very tough to find a home that suited my needs. Bringing 6 horses, my parents and my son. But we found home. The top picture is what we started with and the bottom is the ending. So much love went into making this house a home and Tranquil Acres
I have had so many reach out and asking "are you getting out of rescue" "have you gone bankrupt" "are you getting rid of the horses" etc. None of that. As life changes and children grow up and move on there comes a time when this big house becomes too big for one person and I found an amazing 15 acres 6 minutes down the road that will allow me to expand and offer the horses 10 acres to roam and enjoy their remaining days and me a smaller house.
So much love will go into the next home and farm and I am excited for the next chapter. With any luck and all goes well we will expand Tranquil Acres!

This guy came to us in August. I was hesitant to take him on because I was so broken from the losses we have had this past year
His blindness scared me a bit...but the day he arrived the head tilt stole my heart.
He taught me so much. He's not been feeling well for the past week and today we got some pretty rough news.
When he arrived I was at the point I considered closing the rescue. I couldn't take anymore loss
Tommy's blood work showed severe anemia from mass/cancer. We will do another blood test mid week to compare but I promise you beefcake I will take care of you and keep you comfortable. ❤️
