Doug is looking for his forever folk! He's a sweet, sensitive guy and we're ever hopeful that he'll find the perfect place with a b***o buddy.
Located in South Fork, CO, Doug gets along great with our five mini donkeys and enjoys spending time with fellow long ears. He's good with our horses (was terrified of them at first!), but definitely prefers his own kind. 🫏 Our dogs have been around Doug without incident and he's been exposed to visitors and kids!
Standing at approx 13 hands, Doug does not have a mean bone in his body. A little shy at first, but it's quick to warm especially if there treats involved, in the possibility that treats are involved, and in the event that he might get a treat next time....he will investigate you just in case you forgot you had a treat in your pocket!😆
We are able to catch, halter, lead, pick up his front and hind feet with a hand touch and verbal prompt "up." I can throw my sweatshirt on his back and lead him around without an issue.
