Not bad for 10 YEARS OLD! To see Nitro’s longevity in the ability to work (without pain) not only makes my heart happy, but it is greet to see for the future of my breeding program (he was the foundation stud). It’s heartbreaking to see how many shepherds want so badly to work or play mentally, yet physically can’t keep up at much younger ages. It’s not ok and it’s not “just the breed”. Of course an older dog should slow down in some ways, and the work may be for shorter times…but my hope is to see much more longevity as pups from my breeding program grow up and age (my oldest litter is only 5 1/2) so it takes a loooong time to see what is truly being produced. So far I am pleased and keeping up for statistical use in the future.
The nerd in me geeks out on this stuff and it’s important stuff when dealing with living beings.

Happy 10th Birthday to my Nitro! 🥳💙🐾 I can’t believe he is 10 😳
The years have been good to him and I pray for many more good years! 🙏🏼
To say I love this dog is an understatement‼️ He has traveled the country with me, worked with me both professionally and for sport, he was the founding sire of this breeding program, and he has far exceeded any expectations I had when I was on the waitlist for him as a puppy 🥰
Nitro is intertwined in my soul and seeing him now and his longevity to still work (the last 5 pictures were all taken within the last 4 days) makes my heart beam.
Happy 10th Birthday Big Papa! 🎉🎈 You are so loved and cheers to many more!

Meet Diesel 💙
Luckily this is a very rare occurrence, but Diesel was returned honoring our contract that if for any reason you cannot keep, don’t want, or unable to care for one of our dogs- the dog comes back to me, the breeder.
Diesel was returned due to some life circumstances that left his owners no time to properly care for and give him the life he deserves.
Diesel will turn 2 years old on 3/22/24. I am looking to place him in a VERY active home that wishes to either do some sort of sport or scent work with him. Active (key word ACTIVE) companion homes will be considered if everything else lines up.
Diesel is up to date on vaccines, HW prevention, crate trained, and knows basic commands in German.
He is good with people and kids, passive female dogs, but no idea on cats so a no cat home will only be considered.
It is obvious he was left alone in a crate more than anyone wants so we are working on and improving on some separation anxiety.
Otherwise he is a happy, healthy, and energetic boy.

It’s a shame I even feel the need to address this since it is very rare I engage in social media debauchery.
I see an ever growing trend of unprofessionalism in the dog community that is disappointing to say the least.
It’s part of life that not everyone is going to like you or your program, and I am fine with that as my job is not to please the masses I’ve never met and likely never will.
I encourage EVERYONE to research and talk to many breeders before deciding on a pup from us. It has to be a good fit for all involved, especially the puppy/dog.
I also encourage EVERYONE if they have a trainer they wish to work with to put them in touch with me if they want to inquire about our dogs.
Here are the specifics: I don’t feel the need, have time to, or care to write short novels on every accomplishment my own dogs or dogs from my program have completed. If one considers dogs in police departments, working in the prison system, customs/border patrol, sport dogs, blood tracking dogs, and legit medical service dogs laughable I’m fine with it.
A breeder cannot control if they send a puppy to someone with big plans of competing in (whatever sport). Sometimes life happens, they get turned off by club politics, money and time become issues, or they get pcs’d often and can’t be consistent. I honestly don’t care as long as every dog I put into the world is cared for and his/her needs are met. I’m not after puppy owners to make me well known. I’m after producing good, sound, healthy dogs.
Side note: I would never sell an 8 week old puppy to a first time GSD owner as a personal protection prospect. That one actually made me laugh…
