Living Wells Farm

Living Wells Farm Non-profit equine facility for recreational lessons, summer camp, and equine assisted therapies.

Living Wells Farm Equine-Assisted Services is a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of children and adults, including those with physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges, through equine-assisted services. Under the ownership and management of the Hoffman and Curley families, Living Wells Farm (LWF) has been in existence providing equine services to the community since

2015. Equine Assisted Services (EAS) is an innovative, experiential approach to mental health treatment. Through horse based activities, clients gain confidence, build trust, and form healthy boundaries. The learning center at LWF offers adaptive horsemanship, equine assisted learning, and equine assisted services for veterans alongside our able-bodied riding program and summer camp.

For many of our students, being here at the farm isn't just about riding. The human-horse connection is unique in that it reaches us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Not only do our students get physically stronger as they ride, but the lessons they learn in the saddle and on the ground teach us resilience, patience, and how to trust.

Message us today to find out how you can spend some time at the farm in lessons or volunteering!

It did not take very long for Abby to become obsessed with horses! Her quiet and calm demeanor is perfectly suited to working with them both on the ground and in the saddle. Abby is always willing to help around the barn, because for her it's not just about the riding; she has fun with every aspect of horsemanship.

"As a child of the owners, living here has not always been easy. We work very hard to run Living Wells Farm, but I believe I am where I am today because of the hard work and dedication I have put into the farm. I wouldn't trade growing up like this for anything!"

Ana has invested so much into her passion for horses. She started coming as a camper, and her love for horses just grew. Now Ana is one of the oldest campers and a reliable helper with the younger students. She would be at the farm everyday if possible, helping with chores, grooming, and riding. As a core member of our show team, Ana’s riding ability continues to improve, and we look forward to watching her succeed!

"LWF is such a special place from the horses, the participants and their families, to the volunteers and the leadership team. I am so excited about the future of this program as we grow in our abilities to serve others."

Cailey is such a great role model for all the students here at LWF. She is such an encouraging, joyful coach both in and out of the saddle. Her teaching style builds confidence and pushes her students to be the best horse men and women they can be. Cailey helps create a truly healthy environment for the sport of horseback riding.

"As a mother, there is no greater reward than finding a place for your child to spend her time where you know she is completely safe, growing as a person, and making amazing friends. Living Wells Farm is 100% dedicated to each rider building each other up, encouraging success, and most importantly being good friends. Never ending gratitude is an understatement."

"Our family is forever thankful to the owners and instructors who make Living Wells Farm what it is today- a place where people can come together to grow, heal, and share the common bond of loving horses."

We are so happy the Goves are part of our family here at the farm. Every member of their family is a willing helper, from stacking hay to working summer camp to setting up for events here at the farm. They have the brightest smiles, and even “baby” Natalie (who isn’t a baby anymore) brings such joy to anyone that’s around.

Nothing makes us smile more when we see Andi at the farm, which is almost every day! Andi takes lessons, she helps with chores, she grooms ALL the horses, she volunteers with therapeutic lessons, and she is a supporter of our show team. It is never too late to start a new hobby, and she is the perfect example of working hard at something you love. Love what you do and do what you love!

As a barn owner, the farrier is one of our most trusted resources. The role of a farrier goes beyond just shoeing and trimming. When it comes to hoof and foot care, Matt is a specialist. We count on him to keep our horses balanced and prevent lameness, to work with the vet in the event of an injury, and to put up with all the shenanigans at LWF! Matt Guillemette is an amazing friend to Living Wells Farm and to our horses.

Meet Mandy, one of our regular lesson students! Mandy is a licensed massage therapist and certified breathwork facilitator. If you spend any amount of time talking with Mandy, you are immediately drawn in by her genuine, caring personality. We are so thrilled that she is part of LWF, and invite you to participate in our next breathwork session!
