‼️This is for all of my fur parents that have a shedding dog!‼️
These are the tools I LOVE for getting rid of that undercoat. I have heard so many of my customers say they use the “Furminator” brush, and trust me, these are better! Especially the Andis undercoat rake. The furminator brand has a blade which actually cuts the hair making it look like it’s doing a great job, because there’s hair in it every time you run it through the coat. But it’s actually cutting the undercoat and top coat layers which only reduces the shedding temporarily. Like we’re talking a day. What we want to do is rake the undercoat out! That’s the hair that is shedding all over your floor!
Honestly the undercoat products I use in the bath and my high velocity blow dryer do most of the work before I even get these brushes out. So these tools won’t give you the same effect as a full de-shed treatment with me, but using them in between appointments will make a great difference!
I’ve owned a lab mix for the past 11 years, and I know how frustrating it can be to deal with the hair that comes with that sweet face. Hopefully this helps! And if you have any questions as to which one works best on your pup’s coat, please ask!
