It was started to help try to fill the need in the area as more and more rescues and shelters are finding themselves well over-capacity with stray and unwanted dogs and puppies. It was named after one of it's President's foster pups, Finnegan, who was adopted by her parents and lives a charmed life with his fur-brother, Charley, in Arizona. Kate has been fostering puppies since 2018 for multiple rescues and shelters in the Central Washington area.

The H-Pod has fully left the building! 🥰🥳

Just in time to get settled in before Christmas, 🎄Holly found her furever family! They came all the way from the Westside to meet her and took her home today. We are so happy for Holly and her family, forever grateful to her foster-mama Lisa, and so thankful for everyone who helped support her and us through her journey. We are excited to watch her continue to grow and thrive in her new home 💕

Holly went to the vet today for updated x-rays and a medication consult to see if we could help her symptoms be more manageable. It wasn't her favorite field trip BUT we got some amazing news... 😃

Through her foster, Lisa's amazing care and efforts, Holly megaesophagus appears to have been a transient case! Although rare, it's not unheard of for megaesophagus to be a secondary condition brought on by something else and once the primary condition is treated, the megaesophagus is able to correct itself! We are waiting on the final confirmation from a specialist but the vet was very optimistic so we had to share!

We're waiting for further review of her full blood panel as well but the signs are pointing to a primary diagnosis of Addisons, which is commonly treated with a once a month steroid injection.

Our sweet Holly will remain categorized as a "special needs" pup but her lifelong care appears to be a little less complicated 💚💕

Hello Everyone! Puppy alert 🐶🚨

These adorable babes are 11 week old Malinois mix! They are located in Quincy Washington! Momma is pictured and isn’t she stunning 😍

Backstory:

Momma was found as a stray and was expecting. The yellow and pink collars are females and orange and red, and blue collars are males.

Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of info other than they do have received their 2 doses of vaccines and are comfortable being in a kennel ❤️

These pups are loving, playful and would LOVE a furever home!

Holly is up to 28 pounds! She's worried it makes her butt look big 😆

We're so proud of this little one and her amazing spirit. She isn't letting her condition stop her from being a loving, silly, smart puppy. She just hopes that her forever family is out there and she will find them soon!

The H-Pod hasn't fully left the building just yet...

Our sweet, amazing Holly is still looking for that perfect forever home. She has been diagnosed with a condition called Megaesophagus, which requires a special feeding regimen and a Bailey Chair so she can sit up. Her super-foster mom reports that she is doing very well and is finally putting on weight and able to keep her food down. Her feedings do take a little extra time but don't let it deter you!

Holly's condition doesn't stop her from living an otherwise normal, happy, active life. She loves playing with her toys, helping foster mom in the yard and cuddling. A good nap in her chair after a meal ranks pretty high as well.

We want to make sure Holly gets the best home for her and are willing to assist with transportation if needed for that perfect match.

Congratulations, Henry and the Withrow family!

They heard about our sweet boy through our favorite friends at Dawg Zoomies and brought their current pair of huskies to meet and approve. Everything went so well and the fur-brothers are already besties 🥰 big fur-sis is hoping the two boys will wear each other out and let her rest. Mama and Auntie are over the moon!

Henry has met Mama Kate's personal Pack! Everyone has found their place and is getting along so well! Papa Magoo likes having a gentle "big" dog to play with. Henry is appropriately concerned that Gizmo might eat him and figured out that Lucy is not interested in sharing her personal bubble with him.

He's very curious about this whole house thing but is settling in so well 😊

Whoever adopts Henry is going to get a truly amazing companion in their life. He would love to have a doggy-sibling to play with and learn from, and humans who adore cuddles with giant lapdogs.

Today we say goodbye to Hunter and Hope as they are finally able to go home with their furever families!!!

Henry is still looking for his perfect furever home. He's being so patient but worries that he will be left behind. He has learned the signal for "Sit", loves his cuddles, and is such a goofy, sweet boy we're surprised he hasn't been scooped up already. His deafness appears to be mostly with lower tones as he will respond to higher pitches and trills. It doesn't slow him down at all, just means he'll need a fully fenced yard or to be supervised/leashed so he doesn't wander off because he may not hear you calling him. He would love someone who will let him continue his favorite activity of lap-sitting. He will be a very big cuddle companion. He is good with other dogs, gentle with kids and respectful with cats.

Please give our Henry a chance to share his love! 💚

Congratulations, Hanna and the Toler family!

Hanna was the 2nd H-Pod pup to find her furever home at our Puptember event last weekend and today she finally got to go home with her very excited little boy (after a stop at Firehouse to Share the Love). He has spent the last week making sure everything was all ready for her and showing his parents he was ready to help train her and love her. We are so happy for all of them!

Leia is really hoping her forever family has another dog she can play with! She loves learning how wrestle and play politely with foster brother Magoo, and certainly has a lot to say when he decides it's time for a break 😆 If you are interested in meeting Leia, or to submit an application, please email [email protected] or send us a message!

Every pup has their own personality and preferences. Sometimes it's a way they do things, or lay down, or get the zoomies. Lila has chosen the Crabbie 🦀 as her Thing and without fail will search the yard for it when they come out to play, and carries it around with her. For Leia, it's tennis balls 🎾.
