Meet Rocko...I got to petsit him while his O was in Montana. Rocko has an interesting story. A good Samaritan brought him into the veterinary clinic I worked at. He was about 5 weeks old. I took him and fostered him for about 2 months while I nursed him back to health. One of the doctors I work with ended up taking him. I was very happy when she asked me to look after him.

To all my pet parents. Summer is right around the corner. It is already getting hot and humid here in the south. Please watch out for your pets. Don't leave them in a car or walk them during the day. Heat stroke is no joke. If you have questions please let me know.

February is National Pet Dental Month!!!
Dental health is a very important part your pets health and dental problems can cause or be caused by other health problems. Your pet's teeth and gums should be checked at lease once a year by your veterinarian to check for early signs of a problem and to keep your pet's mouth healthy.
Periodontal disease is the most common dental condition in dogs and cats - by the time your pet is 3 years old, he or she will very likely have some kind of early evidence of periodontal disease, which will only worsen as your pet grows older and preventative measures aren't taken. Early detection and treatment are critical because advanced periodontal disease can cause severe problems and pain for your pet.
Prevention is brushing your pets teeth on a regular basis and getting routine dental cleanings and xrays. '
Check with your local Veterinarian because a lot of them offer specials and discounted prices for dental cleanings during the month of February.
