Dr. Ali’s wire-haired Dachshund, Hans, is making a splash in his stylish life jacket! While swimming is great exercise for dogs, safety comes first. Here are a few tips to keep your pup safe in the water:

1️⃣ Always use a life jacket, especially for smaller or less experienced swimmers.
2️⃣ Supervise your dog at all times—never leave them unattended near water.
3️⃣ Rinse off your dog after swimming to remove chlorine, salt, or other chemicals.
4️⃣ Make sure your dog knows where the exit is—especially in pools.
5️⃣ Start slow and let your pup get comfortable with the water at their own pace.

Meet Matilda! This sweet girl was brought to us at just 2 weeks old after a kind-hearted Samaritan found her. Though her journey started with a sad loss, Matilda found a loving home with one of our staff members and has been thriving ever since. Now 14 weeks old, she’s happy, healthy, and completely spoiled by her Villa Rosa family.

Last week, Stella, our brave 2-year-old Rottweiler, made her mom and our staff very proud with her excellent behavior during her blood draw. She handled her technician appointment like a champ!
