This sweet guy was referred to us by his primary veterinarian VCA Cypress Creek Animal Hospital for an abdominal ultrasound to evaluate weight loss and vomiting. We were able to provide them with solid images to support a diagnosis and get his family some answers 💙💚🐈

Tips to keep your furry family members safe this Easter season! 🐣🌷🐈🦮

FIVE✋🏻 Easter tips to keep your fur babies SAFE this coming Sunday! 🐣

🍫 Easter is typically the top day for chocolate intoxication calls, topping Christmas, Valentines Day and even Halloween! Why? Pets find Easter candy hidden around the house or yard, or get into unattended Easter baskets!

🍬 No Xylitol! This sweetener is found in candy, gum, and many baked goods and can be toxic to dogs and cats.

🥚Real or fake eggs can be harmful to your pet. Be sure to remember where you hide them, as spoiled eggs are a sure way to give anyone an upset tummy! Fake eggs may also cause intestinal blockages if ingested.

🧺 Basket grass may look very cute in your Easter basket, but for your pets it may look like a shiny treat! If swallowed, plastic grass can cause serious intestinal blockages. Instead, consider using tissue paper.

💐 True lilies and Daylilies are a concern for acute kidney failure in cats. 🐈 All homes with cats should be very careful with Easter lilies. Make sure your feline friends cannot access any part of the plant! 🙅🏼‍♀️

Case report❗️💙🐾💫 Dodger was referred to us from his primary veterinarian for an abdominal ultrasound after pre-surgical bloodwork revealed elevated kidney values. The appearance of the right kidney (slide 2) indicates diagnosis of polycystic renal disease! Additional incidental findings include an enlarged and abnormal adrenal gland, gallbladder sludge and liver changes.

Meet the team, part 2 🐾💜💫 Rachel was born and raised in Michigan, and lived briefly in Ohio and Montana before settling in Florida in 2011. She graduated from St Petersburg College with her AS in veterinary technology in 2017 and again with her BS in veterinary technology and practice management in 2020. Rachel has worked in the animal health field since 2011 and couldn’t imagine any other career! In her spare time, she shares her life with her husband, their son, 2 dogs and 2 cats!

Meet the team, part 1 🐾💙 💫 Dr. Khorsandian-Fallah is a long time Florida resident and a 2007 graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Khorsadian-Fallah has enjoyed working in private practice, emergency medicine, and shelter medicine. Dr. Khorsandian-Fallah has a passion for high quality affordable medicine for our pets and started Pasco Veterinary Imaging Center as way to provide pet owners with the advanced diagnostics their pets need. Dr Khorsandian-Fallah lives in Tampa Florida with her husband, three children, dog and chickens.

Our pet food pantry is looking a little bare these days. 😔 Times are tough, as everyone knows, and this service has become critical to many people in our community.
