As we close out 2024, it is impossible to ignore the bittersweet moments we have experienced this year. We have faced significant losses, losing some of our beloved horses, each leaving a mark on our hearts. Yet, through this heartache, we have witnessed the incredible strength of our volunteers and community.

This year, our sanctuary has grown in ways we could never have imagined. Thanks to the generosity of our volunteers and donors, we have been able to expand our efforts to provide care, healing, and love to horses and humans alike. Each of you has helped us move forward, turning challenges into triumphs and ensuring that our mission continues to thrive.

As we step into 2025, we are filled with gratitude and hope for the future. The journey ahead may not always be easy but with the support of so many compassionate people, we know we can overcome anything and keep reaching for the stars. Here’s to new beginnings, the continued growth, and the unwavering love we share for the horses who call AGES home.

On behalf of Thor, AGES wishes to thank those volunteers who were with Thor during his last moments: Kathy for her dedication and love all day, Michael for continuing to finish the regular chores, Ria for her vet academic advice and coming for support, Bethany and Annie for their support and love for Thor, Dr. Cindy Daniels for her vet care and her Tech Portia. AGES Family groups together for Thor and all the other equines there. Prayers to all.

Thor was the most amazingly sentient horse you could meet. He was with AGES for over 10+ years. He arrived with his beautiful brown and white paint lady Branda and their beautiful Icelandic daughter Hera. They are all joined together again with God, watching over AGES.
Love and hugs and prayers for Thor, the gentle God of Thunder, who feared it:)

Today is a hard day. We lost Thor this afternoon. We believe he passed due to a complication from his new medicine. We had many beautiful years with him. Now he is with his Branda and Hera. Our Icelandic's will be missed.
