Marshmallow, the cockatiel, is not a new face. No gaurantee on s*x, but she's really coming along. We'd say she's ready to go home. She's stepping up. Still a little nervous, but definitely workable. And so stinking cute. 💕

A few weeks ago, we went back to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) to get our next rescue.
They asked us to take on a cat that was not doing well, in the shelter atmosphere. Our hearts melted. And we took her in. She was a terrible mess. Was pretty skinny. And very scared. I'm not going to lie, she smelled pretty bad too. Now we know it was from the stress. Typically within a few days these cats come out of their shell.

That was not the case for our poor Elf. Now renamed Angel. We didn't really talk about it, unless you seen her at the store. Because what do you say about a cat that shakes when you hold her. The poor thing, was stressed. And probably the worst case we've had so far. What were we going to do? We did all our normal things. Pheromone spray, quiet space, good food, quiet talking. Nothing seemed to work.

Along came a very nice lady, who said she prayed for a calico cat. And was wondering if we had any currently available. We told her all about Angel. She insisted that Angel was meant for her. An answer to her prayers. And that she wanted to help Angel heal.

We allowed some time to pass... to make sure Angel was healthy enough & ready to go. They would come visit Angel throughout the weeks. And she never wavered that Angel was meant for them.

Today, we finally felt comfortable. Angel went home! We helped get her settled in.
Just in time before the holidays!!!!

Please send prayers for her & her
family. That Angel adjusts well to the nice quiet home she found. That she finds the healing she needs. 💕

My prayers are with all those in ditches today.
We're here. And cleaning up the snow. But I don't blame anyone if they don't want to go out today.

West Allis roads look amazing comparatively.... but it's a doozy out there. 🥶 If you have to go out drive safe. A 30 minute drive to school at 7:15 took me 2 hours? Anyone beat that today?

Just in time for Valentines Day!!! Just remember, plants last longer. 😉 I might be a little crazy. I couldn't even find the time to post the last order of plants completely. You guys really showed up. So many amazing plants went home. The plant shelf had too many open spots. I couldn't resist. We went & got more. 🤣 Today all I had time for, was a video. Thank you to everyone who supports us. We appreciate you guys all so much. 💕

For everyone's safety, we're closing today. The roads just aren't safe to be on. I think it's one of the first times, we've ever closed. We did not take this decision lightly. Please be safe out there. We'll see you guys tomorrow. You can message the store with any questions. We'll be monitoring things throughout the day. While I'm not enjoying this, as much as Dasher. It really is beautiful.

Sammi update!! She surely is shocking me, at how quickly she's coming around. There is research that says you fix the gut, you could fix the fear/aggression. How do we react when we don't feel good!? Defensive, wanting to be left alone, and crummy. Who can blame you? Due to teeth work being done, she's been on soft food. Why wouldn't we feed her our best? We gave her Steve's Real Food Beef & Fromm Family Foods shredded can mixed in. Watching her in a week excitingly coming out of her shell with love & amazing food. That is the best feeling. We still feel a quieter home would be best for her, in full disclosure. She is still startled by noises.
