WE’RE READY FOR YOU 2025!! 🐾

We hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!

Our office will be closed Tuesday December 31st and Wednesday January 1st. Kaylene will return to the office again on Thursday January 2nd.

We are closed for all pick up and drop offs on New Years Eve and New Years Day therefore if your pup is currently staying with us please kindly refer back to your original accommodations that were made.

HO HO HO 🎅 it’s Christmas time at HHK 🐾

Just a friendly reminder that our office will be closed for the holidays on Tuesday December 24th and Wednesday December 25th. Kaylene will return to the office on Thursday December 26th.

We would like to introduce our newest HHK team member Annika. Annika joined our team in September as a kennel attendant. Annika is eager to come to work at HHK and loves getting to know all of the personalities of all of our visitors that she loves and cares for during her shift. Annika is still young yet so she has many different possible directions for a future career but she has expressed interest in anything animal related, sports and baking. Annika is a huge animal lover and has a variety of pets at home. During her free time she loves to spend time with her own personal pets including her Wirehaired Pointing Griffon named Torch as well as her two cats and three horses. We're very excited to have Annika meet, greet and get to know all of you!

Last week Wednesday our HHK senior staff had a fun filled afternoon. Colleen and Kaylene took Ana and Brenna on a shopping spree and dinner to celebrate Christmas as a team and to show our appreciation for everything they both do year round for our HHK visitors. Throughout the year with your continued kindness and generous gratuities we always love to give back to our staff that takes care of your pup. In 2024 we’ve purchased summer and winter apparel, snacks and sodas for our team with all your support. We all appreciate your love and recognition you’ve given us this year!

Are you a dog lover? Can you see yourself enjoying free time while getting paid to love and care for pups? If you said yes to this you might be just the person we are looking for to add to our small family business. We are looking to hire a part time position at Herbst Haven Kennels LLC. Listed below are the attributes we are looking for. If you think you have these, we would love to hear from you and have a chat with you! We are looking for someone who is professional, timely, honest, trustworthy, reliable and will take the initiative. Hours are flexible but you must be able to work on weekends.

Duties Include:
Feeding and administering medications (if needed)
Taking each dog out individually for relief times
Walking each dog individually
Playing with each dog individually
Cleaning up after relief time (We are very adamant about keeping things in tip-top shape)
Taking photos and sending them to customers via text
Light cleaning of rooms when they are occupied
Cleaning and sterilization of rooms before and after each stay
Minimum cleaning tasks
Checking in customers
Checking out customers
