Hereโs a quick little video I took a while back and told his mom Iโd share! ๐ Bane is always so excited to come into the salon, but by the time his sessionโs over, heโs ready to head out! ๐คฃ He knows check-ins start with some cool down time- which means playing with toys, enjoying yummy treats, and getting all the love! But once itโs time to get to work, itโs hard to keep up with all that beauty business! You can totally see it on his face during the transition to bath time! ๐คฃAlso, just a quick reminder, family! Iโll be out of the salon next week to put the final touches on everything for my wedding on 10/4! After that, Iโll be back to my regular hours! It is with a HEAVY heart that we announce the departure of our most wonderful and beloved grooming assistant this coming August.
Brooklyn has decided to pursue her passion for helping others in a different capacity and will be leaving us to become a substance abuse counselor. While we are devastated to see her go, we are also INCREDIBLY proud of her decision to follow her dreams and make a difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction. Brooklyn has been an integral part of our team and will be dearly missed by colleagues and clients alike. We wish her all the best in this new chapter of her life, and we know that she will continue to make a positive impact wherever she goes. Make sure to show Brooke some extra love for all her hard work before her new journey startsโค๏ธ

๐ฃItโs time to talk about brushing ๐ฃ
The best way to treat matting is to prevent it from happening in the first place..
In order to solve this dilemma, we must not only brush out the top coat, but get down deep to find any hidden tangles, before they turn into painful mats.
๐พ Use a high quality slicker brush, & work it through their entire coat.
๐พ Always brush WITH the growth of hair (not against it).
๐พ Be very gentle around sensitive areas such as the armpits, the front of their legs, behind the ears etc.
๐พ Pay attention to friction areas (around their collar, under the ears, butt fluff)- these areas are often the most tangled.
๐พ Do not brush over the same spot more than a few times (unless you have a slicker with bendable pins) - you'll irritate their skin and cause brush burn.
๐พ Slickers will remove most surface matting, BUT.. we need to make sure we are removing deep tangles as well. Following through the coat with a metal comb is key to ensuring there are no hidden tangles near their skin.
When brushing your furry companion, whether you go from tail to head or head to tail is entirely up to you. Just start at one end of the body, & work your way to the other to be certain that you donโt miss anything in between. โบ๏ธ
