🎉🐾 Happy 2nd Birthday, Felix! 🐾🎉

Felix came in for his spa day yesterday, and today he gets to celebrate turning TWO! 🥳 This sweet boy isn’t just special because he’s adorable— he’s a service dog who was raised and trained with so much love by our very own groomer Kenzie! 🥰

Kenzie volunteers her time with Partners with Paws as a puppy raiser, and I can’t even put into words how much I admire her for it. The amount of patience, commitment, and heart it takes to raise a service dog is incredible— and she’s given Felix the foundation to go on and change someone’s life in the most meaningful way! 🥹

Felix has already found his forever placement and is thriving with his little boy— and it’s all thanks to the love, and hard work that Kenzie (and the wonderful program at Partners with Paws) put into these pups!

Wedding guest of the year reporting for duty! Bane came in to get all fancy for his parents wedding party and to say he was excited is an understatement!🥹🥰 (and of course we had to make sure his bandana said “I do too.”💍)

Hello family!!💜 I hope everyone’s having a great day! I’ve been so horrible with keeping up on pictures lately, but I did want to share these few of Anna and little Fizzie! 🐾
Don’t let Anna’s eyes fool you! 😅 she really does love her spa sessions, she’s just never impressed once the camera comes out! 😂

And sweet Fizzie had her very first big girl bath today! We took it slow, introduced her to all the new sounds and routines, did a little paw shave, and of course made time for belly rubs (her absolute favorite part) She was such a sweetheart the whole way through! Showing pups that our safe place is their safe place too always warms my heart!🥰

September–December 2025 Books Are Now Open! 🐾💜

Just a quick reminder as books officially open — this block looks a little different than usual, as I’ll be heading out on maternity leave come November and December to soak up all the newborn snuggles with our baby girl. 🥹💕

My plan is to work through as much of October as I’m able, but like most things with pregnancy, I’ll be playing it by ear and listening to my body. If anything changes, I promise to keep everyone updated as best I can!

When the time comes for me to step away for maternity leave, Kenzie will be taking care of all full-service appointments with the help of Kayla! — and I truly couldn’t ask for better people to trust with your fur-babies care. They both already play such a huge role here at Heart and Soul, and I feel at peace knowing your pups will be in such loving, capable hands.

If you’ve already reached out to book — thank you so much for your patience! I go through every message myself and respond as quickly as I can. It just takes a little time to work through everyone’s requests, based on things like week rotation and service needs. So if you don’t hear back right away, please know I haven’t forgotten you! I’m working through them all and will get back to you within the week!

A Little Life Update 🖤🐾

I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately, and I want to thank you all for your patience while I’ve taken some time to process a really heartbreaking few weeks. I unexpectedly lost both of my boys, Chester and Looey, just one week apart — and my world has honestly felt flipped upside down since.

If animals have one flaw, it’s that they don’t live long enough.
But I’d choose this heartbreak over and over again if it meant loving them one more time.

I’m beyond thankful for the support system around me — and for so many of you. Your fur-babies and your kindness have truly helped me get through some of the hardest days. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who truly get it.

And I have to give the biggest shoutout to Kenzie. From supporting me through health scares to helping me breathe through the grief, she’s been a true light in all of this. I couldn’t ask for someone better to trust with your fur-babies — especially as I begin stepping into the role of “mom” myself. 🥹💗

With that said, books will officially open August 1st for full-service appointments from September–December 2025. This block is especially important, as it includes my maternity leave — our sweet baby girl is due this fall, and I’ll be working as long as my body allows.

I’ll be taking all of November and December off to focus on her and soak in that new-mom life, but I’ll still pop in here and there to say hi and introduce her to you all. 🥹💗

Thank you again for all the love, patience, and grace you’ve shown me. It hasn’t gone unnoticed. 🐾💜

🌸 Meet Judy! 🌸
This ridiculously adorable fluff is just 11 weeks old and already a total grooming pro!

Judy is a Bernese Mountain Dog pup who completely stole our hearts today!

It’s very common for puppies this young to wiggle, worry, or need breaks as we get them desensitized/comfortable with the process — but Judy? She soaked up every part of her session! 🥹

We couldn’t help but snap a few photos because… well… look at her 😭💗 this kind of cuteness needs to be shared. 💕

Judy, it was an honor to pamper you! We can’t wait to watch you grow. 💞

Bandit had his very first spa day today, and big brother Levi was right there to show him the ropes during their family session 🛁🐾 Bandit might be only 7 months old, but he handled everything like a total champ—even the blow dryer, which can be the scariest part for most pups! So proud of this confident little guy—and clearly he’s been taking notes from his big bro 💜

A Day Late, But Never Short on Love…

Happy (belated) Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas — to the humans, the fur-babies, the bonus moms, the grieving moms, the trying moms, and everyone in between. You are seen. You are loved. You are celebrated. 💜

And this year… I joined the club in more ways than one!

Last week, I became a mama to a tiny 4 week old orphaned kitten whose mother was tragically hit by a car. He’s been in my care around the clock — feedings, potty help, snuggles, and lots of cheering him on as he gains strength to become a healthy cat! That officially makes me a fur-mama of five!
(Yes, send caffeine and prayers.😅😉🤣)

And in even bigger news… I’m growing a little human of my own, arriving this fall! 🥰 Being a mother is a role I’ve always taken seriously in the salon — nurturing nervous pups, advocating for their needs, and making sure every pet feels safe and loved. But now, the word “mom” is starting to take on a whole new meaning.

This journey hasn’t been easy — physically, mentally, emotionally — but it’s growing me in ways I never expected. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who’s shown me patience and kindness as I try to balance it all.

So here’s to all the different kinds of moms — the ones with fur on their clothes and snacks in their pockets. You’re doing better than you think. 🥰
