We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We help the forgotten, neglected, and unwanted pets who find themselves in our care. Our passion is animal welfare.

$10 per square.
Payouts are $125 per quarter. NO payouts for overtime.
Payments can be in person with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
Payouts will be paid by Monday (2/10) mid-morning.
Once payment is received, you will be randomly added to the board. In person payments can pick their own squares.

All of these are females!
They are all spayed, up to date on shots, and FIV/FeLV tested negative.
They will be due for a 2nd booster shot in the coming weeks, and they can be brought back here for that.

Had a collar on, no chip.
Must be able to identify collar and gender for pickup along with proof of ownership.

SHE WENT ON A HOME VISIT!

Peonie is quite bored here, and she can't figure out why no one has adopted her yet.
We don't have an answer for her, because we don't understand either.
Female, lab mix, just under a year old. Spayed, and up to date on shots.

Chester is ready for adoption!
He's about a year old. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and FIV/FeLV tested negative. He's a loveable guy who is a little shy at first, but he warms up pretty quickly. He would do best in a more laid back home. He doesn't seem to mind other cats, but he is still in a kennel right now, as he still has a few more days before he can mingle because he just got fixed. He's ready for adoption!

Please keep in mind that we ONLY take domesticated cats. We do NOT take in feral cats. We do not adopt cats out to be barn cats. We adopt cats out as pets, and that's it!
We will NOT take feral cats!!
We do not have a set up at this shelter to separate domesticated cats from feral cats. The cats we take in as strays/surrenders have to be cared for, and if we cannot handle them, we cannot take care of them properly!

It's with heavy hearts that we make this post. This sweet girl was laid to rest.
There was a lot going on with her, and at the end of the day, quality of life is what's important, and if we can't improve quality of life, than there's no justification in letting an animal suffer any longer.
Please know sweet girl that your life mattered. It mattered to us. And although we may have been too late, you were shown love, affection, and kindness in your last few days.

Picked up on Rose City Rd. by Lupton. This dog looks terrible. Skin issues from fleas, skinny. No collar, no chip and was covered in icicles. It's moving around now, but very weak. Anyone know any information? Please contact us or the Sheriff's Department if you know anything! (989) 343-7387. EDIT- the dog has LARGE tumors, covered in fleas and some other type of bugs. No excuses!

Zena!

Here's an update on the little girl who was dumped on Christmas Day. We named her Noelle. She prefers men over women which NEVER happens. In 4 years, she's the first dog who has chosen a man over a woman! We rarely get men working here, but we are fortunate enough to have 2 right now. So, we kind of have to bamboozle her and have the guys get her and then we come into play. She's very vocal, you can carry on a whole conversation with her. She doesn't appear to be very old. Probably around a year. She was vaccinated for parvo/distemper, and Bordatella today. We're making progress...baby steps!

We know there's been a lot of people asking on the original post about this dog. She was dumped off on Lucinda Dr. in Skidway on Christmas day. She's safe and here with us now. She's very skittish. This one will take some time on our part. There's been a lot of names thrown around on who did this, and it's all good. Just know we're watching you! 👀

NOT READY FOR ADOPTION! We have some work to do on these puppers first. This is Walter and Iris. They were abandoned in a house for some time, and have been with us a few days now. NOT SEEKING ANY INFORMATION. Please keep any details on the situation off our page, as it's an ongoing investigation. All animals involved are safe, and being care for. We just like to update on the things that are going on around the shelter.

It's pretty peaceful here at night. Dark, but peaceful...

We've been here since 6:30! We ate dinner and I guess it was time to wake up all the doggos!

Next up is Daisy! Daisy will be ready for adoption very soon! She's about 3 years old. NO CAT FRIENDS FOR DAISY! She was tied to a stop sign about 2 weeks ago, and thankfully was found before she hurt herself trying to break free. She's the best girl ever, and didn't deserve to be left the way she was. #GivingTuesday www.cfnem.org/givingtuesday

Let's do an update/success story!!! These 2 are Patches and Ember. Both RFAS alumni! Ember came from Flint. She was in a van with 18 other dogs, 2 of which were deceased. She had bite wounds, and was a scared little doggo. We transferred her up here and got her all fixed up, and she was adopted by...ME! Patches came from Detroit. A litter of 4 pups, little babies that all had Parvo, and all made it! He was transferred up to us after his treatment was completed. We got him sterilized and UTD on everything and he was adopted by...Crystal! These are our bad doggos, doing all their bad doggo things!!! Spoiled little 💩! #GivingTuesday www.cfnem.org/givingtuesday
