We are an all-volunteer rescue for horses. (See what Guide Star has to say about CNEER. Guide Star has a database of information about U.S. nonprofit organizations.) We have a wonderful group of volunteers with the same goal in mind, to rescue and rehabilitate horses. Everyone involved at CNEER ensures that all horses rescued are treated with the best possible care. We know what is involved in the

rehabilitation to make them healthy and restore their spirit. We also have learned that we cannot do everything for all horses, but we can do something! One horse at a time, we fight the good fight to restore faith to these magnificent creatures that have been put through great suffering in their lifetime.

Today like so very many Saturdays I found myself walking to the barn listening to Badonk braying his impatient bray over not being outside yet. Breakfast had been fed 45 minutes earlier and he was letting me know he was not thrilled that I was taking my time to let him out. The morning was freezing and a preview of winter's temps. Fall is my favorite time of year. Saturday's embody great volunteers ranging in age from 5 to 82. The commaraderie is incredible Everyone digs in to get the barn chores done sporting a smile the whole time. and I get a DD coffee to boot from Linda! Mia, Daisy, Bandit, Winnie and Jersey Girl had special attention today from Chris, Teddianne Avery, Jerry and Lennox!
Fencing mended thanks to Jerry and Al. Hay and water tubs checked by Chris and Patrick .. there isn*t a Saturday that goes by that I am not filled with smiles and gratitude for our amazing Saturday crew of volunteers and the horses that bring us all together with the same goal and somehow it touches and heals whatever is broken.

Makes my heart happy to see this horse being loved. .. and in return she brings joy without even knowing it..

Saturday...horses love this weather...so do I., hot coffee, great summer breeze, volunteers with smiles...Bandit gets his bath .. and lunch .. stalls all clean water traughs clean, supper dished out .. zinga groomed..garden tomatoes, home made cupcakes.... God's in his heaven and so am I

Al helping from the minute he gets here. Lennox too.

Every once in a while I let the kids find their own way in to eat supper in their stalls... it is a good to see.

Celebrated a great man's 80th birthday today! Jerry thank you for your unwavering support for all these years to this rescue. . Proud to know you and your beautiful wife! Even today he and Alex fixed rails, stall locks and did stalls!...many mamy more happy birthdays Jerry.
