Will today be the day Alpha Orange finds a real home?

Alpha Orange was found stuck in the basement wall at the Bateman hotel in Lowville. He is blind in one eye.

He can’t get enough love and he will roll on his back for some of those belly rubs. He is estimated to be around 2 years old and does not seem to be a fan of dogs, but would do fine with other cats.

This handsome hunk is Gunner. He's a distinguished older gentleman looking for a quiet retirement home where he can play with all the toys. He's smart and has the saddest howl you'll ever hear.

His family surrendered him to a NYC shelter after having him for 10 years. Who can make things up to him?

Sadly Cosmo declined rapidly over night and passed away at the vets before I had to make the decision to put him down.

I fight so hard for these guys and it really hurts when you feel like you failed them.

I didn't expect this at all and was hoping for a different outcome of course....I'm really heart broken

R.I.P Cosmo....I did everything I could to try to give you a better quality of life but it seems you were ready to cross the rainbow bridge.

Thank you to all of you that contributed to his care at giving him a chance.

This sweet sweet girl is Izzie, I literally cannot even get enough of her she is 12 years old and has lived the last year of her life in a farret cage. She laid on my lap for a good hour last night and just purred and wanted to be hugged. At 12 years old she should be getting all the love we can possibly give her. Izzie does well with other cats and is not a fan of dogs we think the best home would be a quite home. The vet told us yesterday that she looks awesome for 12 years old everything is in good shape and her teeth look great. Let's find this girl a home. We are a non profit 501(c)3 humane society. We rehome cats and dogs through adoption.

So Cosmo is taking a turn for the worst, I cant figure it out as his blood work was ok, his ex rays did not show any abnormalities but he's not eating or drinking and hasn't made a bowl movement in a week...the exrays showed that he has stuff to get rid of but hasn't yet and he's not urinating either....

So back to the vet tomorrow

Sweet anya is struggling here at the shelter. She is 12 years old and just wants to go home to someone and live out the rest of her life in peace and quite. Anya is super sweet, and has not been dealt the best hand. She came in as a stray on Fort Drum and she was in really bad shape. She was microchipped and we were able to contact the owners who basically told us they don't want to deal with her or the medical bills. So of course we took over care. Anya had a rough start but she is doing much better and ready for a home. Someone has got to find it in their heart to adopt a senior cat, she gets along good with other cats but we are not for sure about dogs. Come meet this sweet girl. We are a non profit 501(c)3 humane society. We rehome cats and dogs through adoption.

UPDATE ON COSMO
Exrays showed that he is full of arthritis, but the good news is we can give him arthritis medication and gabapentin , this poor guy has been in so much pain for so long, it breaks my heart.
I knew there was something else going on with him...poor guy...he's been through it!

I'd like to add that in a matter of 4 days the vet bill has been about $1200, it's not about the money, I will always do everything possible to help a cat in need. But without all of the support I've recieved for him in the last week has been truly a blessing, I would not have been able to do any this without all of you that donated!

He has a chance at a pain free life until the rainbow bridge calls him!

Everything else looks good and normal!
