I knew this day was coming but it definitely didn’t make getting the news any easier. Buffy has been part of my pet sitting life for 6 years. She first came to me when I worked through Rover. She was 9, still young(ish) for a smaller dog. Back then I did visits for her. As she got older, her owners felt it would be better to have me stay when they were away. She wasn’t the cuddly type but I could tell she was happy I was there. I already miss you Buffy. You are on my wall of fame along with others I have lost. I hope you are playing with them over the rainbow bridge. Rest easy sweet girl. I love you.

It’s a difficult topic, I know. But if you have an aging pet, you need to be aware of some of the signs that it might be time…it breaks my heart to see and care for dogs that are having difficulty just going through their daily routines.
We are watching our girl Bailey enter the last phase of her life and we have vowed that we won’t let her suffer or have no quality of life.

It’s difficult to know when an older dog has an illness that can be treated or if you should consider euthanasia. Dr. Leslie Gillette gives you signs that a dog may be dying and what you can do.

So a few weeks ago I posted about the loss of Sweet Sophie. Here is newly adopted Miley to help heal the hearts of the family. Miley was found as a stray. I can’t imagine this sweet girl out on her own. I’m so glad the rest of her life will be filled with treats and cuddles!

It’s been BUSY! Prior years I usually slow down after Labor Day but I’m finally at home for a couple of weeks! Catching up on updating you with my latest sitting…it was my first time with Pebbles. I’ve been visiting Pebbles for weekly walks for several years but sooo happy I got to stay with her. She was so much fun. During play time she’s hilarious and when she’s calm, she’s a sweet little lap dog. Thank you to Pebbles’ pawrents for placing their trust in me and for making sure I was very comfortable in their beautiful home 💕
