HAPPY VET RECEPTIONIST WEEK!! Our Client Coordinators are usually the first and last point of contact for our clients/patients. They are masters at multi-tasking and work wonders ensuring all of our patients can be seen by our medical staff, get scheduled for their grooms, and get their boarding reservations booked! Without them, our work lives would be chaotic. Today, we celebrate them and all that they do. They are invaluable to us and we greatly appreciate them! THANK YOU KARA, HOLLY, AND BRANDI!😍🤩

PET REHOMING NEEDED!♥️ A client of ours has an elderly acquaintance that is needing to rehome his cat as he is no longer able to care for him. The pet is up-to-date on all vaccines, is about six years old and is neutered. He is a really sweet cat and has no health conditions. If you are in a place to adopt a new pet, please reach out to us and we will put you in contact with our client who can assist with facilitating a meet and greet. 😀🐈🐱😻

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO OUR CLIENTS AND FURRY FRIENDS! We are grateful for the partnerships we have with our pet owners and feel blessed to be able to help keep their furry family members healthy and happy!

THANKSGIVING DAY PET SAFETY!!!

-KEEP THE FEAST ON THE TABLE—not under it. Eating turkey or turkey skin—sometimes even a small amount—can cause a life-threatening condition in pets known as pancreatitis. Fatty foods are hard for animals to digest, and many foods that are healthy for people are poisonous to pets, including onions, raisins, and grapes. If you want to share a Thanksgiving treat with your pet, make or buy a treat that is made just for them.
-NO PIE OR OTHER DESSERTS for your pet. Chocolate can be harmful for pets, even though many dogs find it tempting and will sniff it out and eat it. The artificial sweetener xylitol—commonly used in gum and sugar-free baked goods—also can be deadly if swallowed by dogs or cats.
-YEAST DOUGH CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS for pets, including painful gas and potentially dangerous bloating.
-NO Onions, garlic, leeks, scallions, or chives, which are common ingredients in many popular Thanksgiving dishes. These plants and any other species in the Allium genus are incredibly toxic to cats and dogs and can cause their red blood cells to break down.
-PUT THE TRASH AWAY where your pet can’t find it. A turkey carcass sitting out on the table, or left in a trash container that is open or easily opened, could be deadly to your family pet. Dispose of turkey carcasses, bones, and scraps—and anything used to wrap or tie the meat, such as strings, bags, and packaging—in a covered, tightly secured trash bag placed in a closed trash container outdoors (or behind a closed, locked door).
-BE CAREFUL WITH DECORATIVE PLANTS. Some flowers and festive plants can be toxic to pets. These include amaryllis, baby’s breath, sweet William, some ferns, hydrangeas, and more. The safest route is simply to keep your pet away from all plants and table decorations.
-QUICK ACTION CAN SAVE LIVES! If you believe your pet has been poisoned or has eaten something they shouldn’t have, immediately call MedVet of Cincinnati at 513-561-0069 or Care Center Cincinnati at 513-530-0911. You can also call the Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661). Signs that something might be wrong with your pet include sudden behavior changes, depression, discomfort or pain, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
