With the 4th of July right around the corner, be sure to contact your veterinarian and pick up medication to help keep your pet calm during the fireworks.

Alternative methods to help your 4 legged family members is to put on your air conditioner, turn on the radio or TV, to try and drown out some of the sounds of the fireworks going off.

Now that spring has sprung, here are some quick tips to help keep your fur babies safe during the warmer months.
We highly recommend using a good quality flea/tick prevention year round to keep our pets safe from diseases, such as Lyme disease, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia.
We also recommend testing your pet yearly for tick borne diseases to make sure they are healthy. Some pets never show clinical signs of disease until it's too late.
Although we don't see heartworm disease a lot in Central NY, we do see a lot of intestinal parasites. Therefore, it's always a good idea to be on a heartworm prevention to aid in preventing the development of heartworm disease as well as hookworms, roundworms, etc.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter from our family to yours!

It’s time to start planning for a 2024 wellness visit for your horses. Our annual farm call deal will continue this year with a $35 farm call on the days we are scheduling to be in your area. February and March dates are listed below.

These appointments are perfect for vaccinations, Coggins tests, lab work (ACTH / Insulin, Lyme, wellness panel, physical examinations, f***l testing, etc). Appointments requiring radiographs, endoscopy, castrations, dental work, etc can be scheduled for a different date.

Give the office a call to get on the schedule for your visit. Some of the locations do fill up. Payment is required on the day of service. Accounts with outstanding balances will not receive service or be eligible for the farm call discount. Vaccination and Coggins records will not be provided until payment is received.

With the cooler weather outside, we will generally see an increase in fleas and ticks as well. These nuisances will be more prevalent in temperatures between 50-70, which is why we recommend using a good quality preventive such as Nexgard, Bravecto, or Simparica. Give us a call to set up an appointment and see what would be best for your pets!!
