Something for the tool box. Threshold tip
Forrest learning some off leash.
Saylor is in our board and train learning some leash manners. With the dog on the left I use left turns to help with focus and leadership. I change directions early and often to avoid patterns and complacency.
Acorn’s Journey
Acorn came to us for our board and train program. He was unable to go into dynamic environments due to lack of impulse control and anxieties. He is not dog aggressive or have human aggression. He just simply gets nervous. By providing him with expectations that he can rely on and his human being consistent, he finds confidence. He was re homed to this awesome human at the age of 7 yrs. He has made great progress and we are very proud of him trusting us to give him that leadership. It is always rewarding to struggle at the beginning building a relationship figuring each other out and becoming great friends throughout the process. His human says he is my dog. I’m so thankful for these experiences during this journey.
In this video Paddy is wrapping up a Board and Train. He would run off and chase the chickens around when let outside. We have done many weeks and training together before putting it all together. Building new expectations, creating trust and learning to be consistent is key to any program. We are so very proud of Paddy putting it all together and being flawless. His recall was great and not chasing was the cherry on top. We want to say thank you to the family for giving us this opportunity and for believing in the process and for following it. You put in the work. #sevenlakeskennels #petobedience #chasingchickens
Leo is one of April Rockstars. He is putting together some off leash obedience. We can’t thank the family enough for giving us this opportunity. We are changing lives one leash at a time.
Oakley came to us just like a young bird dog should. She is full of energy, pushes her boundaries and loved by her humans. We were given the opportunity to harness the energy, create boundaries and build confidence in her humans leadership. She is doing great after our board and train and her humans follow thru. Great job Oakley, you make us proud!!!
