This week we are celebrating Heather! She is the practice manager here at WFAH and has been with our team since 2010, minus a few year hiatus in between. She re-joined in 2017 and has developed the practice manager role since then. Heather is quite literally the backbone of this practice. We would not be able to practice the medicine we do, or provide the level of customer service we strive for, without her.

Heather’s “why” (why she does what she does) is the chance to make a difference in the lives of patients and their owners, even if indirectly. She also loves being able to play a role in creating a successful local, small business. Heather grew up right next door in Fargo, ND. She is a black cat mom to the core 🖤. She has 3 black cats - Coco, Sneakers, and Pepper. Coco helped heal Heather’s heart after the loss of her beloved Naynay. She is a mama’s girl and is into everything! Sneakers is always wearing “sneakers” (she has 4 white paws 😆) and is also the “sneakiest.” Pepper adds a dash of spice to the mix! She is a daddy’s girl and will literally throw tantrums if told “no!” All of Heather’s kitties have been adopted from the pound or found on the streets. She also has 14 geese as pets (no she doesn’t live in town- haha!) one of which is an orphaned Canada Goose who chose them all on its own. She rounds out the family with 50 chickens and 1 husband 💙💚💙💚

Lauren is our 8th and final licensed veterinary technician to feature as we close out National Vet Tech week. She only joined the WFAH family 5 months ago but she fits in so well it feels like she’s been here much longer! She graduated from Ridewater College in Willmar, MN and is now back in her hometown of West Fargo 💚 She married her husband, Brady, in April 2024 and the newlyweds have 2 pets - Koko (4 year old Boxer) and Myrtle (8 month old mini Goldendoodle). Lauren’s “day maker” is a combination of her coworkers and the wide variety of patients she gets to see. And just in case you were wondering, Lauren points out that she has a “slight obsession” with Boxers and Doodles 💙 The WFAH team is so glad to have you, Lauren, and we look forward to helping you grow your career in this amazing profession!
