Lauren is our 8th and final licensed veterinary technician to feature as we close out National Vet Tech week. She only joined the WFAH family 5 months ago but she fits in so well it feels like she’s been here much longer! She graduated from Ridewater College in Willmar, MN and is now back in her hometown of West Fargo 💚 She married her husband, Brady, in April 2024 and the newlyweds have 2 pets - Koko (4 year old Boxer) and Myrtle (8 month old mini Goldendoodle). Lauren’s “day maker” is a combination of her coworkers and the wide variety of patients she gets to see. And just in case you were wondering, Lauren points out that she has a “slight obsession” with Boxers and Doodles 💙 The WFAH team is so glad to have you, Lauren, and we look forward to helping you grow your career in this amazing profession!

Katie became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2022, graduating from NDSU, and has worked at WFAH ever since! She is originally from Hillman, MN, and has 1 crazy cat named Kiara. The day maker for Katie is when a really cute puppy or kitten comes in for an exam 💙 Something interesting about Katie is that she was homeschooled and has travelled to 45 states! We are thrilled that Katie chose the WFAH family to launch her vet tech career and are very proud of how much she has already learned about this wonderful profession. Your love for your job really shines through, Katie. Thank you! 💚💙💚💙

Next up for everyone to meet is Kamie! She graduated from NDSU, has been a vet tech for 3 years, and joined the WFAH team 2.5 years ago. Kamie has 1 older sister and an 11 year old cat named “Alice” 💙 She likes to play video games and color when she needs to relax. Kamie’s best day at work is when she gets to help all the animals and their owners (it sounds like every day must be a good day, because Kamie does do this every single day ☺️). She also feels great when she has quick and smooth blood draws on her patients (we know they appreciate that too, and it’s not always easy!). We are so glad to have you on our team Kamie 💚💙💚💙

This is Casey! She has been a licensed vet tech for 22 years!! She is an NDSU graduate and grew up in Sisseton, SD. She joined our team 3.5 years ago with some experience in the emergency sector which we appreciate immensely! She is the youngest of 3 siblings. A great day at work for Casey is one filled with teamwork, fun, and laughter. She also lights up when a client lets her know they appreciate her and the work she does 💙 She enjoys scary movies and is a music lover to the core - “music solves everything.” One of the most amazing and memorable times of her life was when she was able to take care of her grandma when she couldn’t take care of herself. Casey is a care-giver in all aspects of life. Thank you for choosing this profession and the WFAH family Casey 💚💙💚💙

Say hello to Kel! She is an NDSU Vet Tech graduate (notice a theme here? - so thankful we have such a great program right here in our hometown) and is originally from Bismarck. Kel is a surgery tech extraordinaire and her patient care is top notch. When your pet is in Kel’s hands you can rest assured they are getting the BEST of everything! She joined the WFAH family 3 years ago and we are so glad she found us! 💙Kel and her fun-loving husband, Austin, who is also an honorary member of the WFAH team, have 3 “furs” - Ellie (German Shepherd), Mya, and Aleu (cats), and an amazing 125 gallon saltwater aquarium (all of those creatures also have names). Kel’s favorite day at work is when there are treats 🤩 and when everyone is having fun and joking around. She also loves baby kittens💚. Please keep the love coming for our fantastic team! They mean so much to us and we want everyone to know more about the wonderful people who are caring for their pets 💚💙💚💙

Our next featured Vet Tech is Alexis! She graduated from NDSU and has been with us at WFAH for 3.5 years. She has a special interest in dentistry and loves to start her day with a good dental! When asked what “makes her day” at work, she answered, “my co-workers” 💙 Alexis’ favorite animal is a cat and she has 3 of them (Leslie, Zuri, and Kiwi), and she has 2 birds as well (Cerce and Lotus). Her cats are all trained to “sit!” It is also interesting to note that Alexis is allergic to cats (when there’s a will, there’s a way 😅), she loves scary movies, crafting, rollerblading, and she is also our official party planner! Alexis is engaged to Brady and we are looking forward to their wedding in April 2025 💍 She comes from a big family, with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. We LOVE having Alexis on our team and are SO PROUD of how much she has learned and is contributing to WFAH since coming to us as a brand new vet tech! THANK YOU ALEXIS 💙💚💙💚

Meet Christine! A graduate of NDSU’s Veterinary Technology program, she has been with WFAH for 10 years and we are SO lucky that she chose us! Christine is Fear-Free Certified and has spearheaded our efforts to implement low stress handling techniques at the clinic, allowing our patients to have better experiences when they visit the vet. She recently got engaged to the love of her life and we can’t wait for her big day 💘 She has a black lab named Lettie, is an only child, and her parents are her best friends! Christine is also the mastermind behind all of our amazing West Fest Parade floats! She loves baking (and is incredible at it btw) and EVERYTHING pink!!! Happy Vet Tech Week Christine 🩷🩷🩷
