August 28th is the day we remember all of the pets that are waiting for us on the other side of the rainbow bridge. We know that each pet carries a piece of our hearts with them when they cross the bridge. Earlier this month, Slate decided to try and make friends with a copper head snake.. needless to say the snake was not her friend and she had to be hospitalized (along with her cousin who had the same idea 🤭)..
We’d like to think that Slate was telling Dr. Mosley thank you for the wonderful care he gave her! ❤️

Dr. Smithers daughter’s unicorn suffered a small laceration after a dog attack. Chilly was rushed to the clinic for emergency care! After a very thorough exam, we determined Chilly needed wound care with sutures, pain medication, and to go home on kennel rest with some TLC from her very worried mom!

We have already seen many cases of cytaux also known as bobcat fever. This is a very lethal tick borne illness that affects cats!
While there are treatment options the best treatment is PREVENTION! During the summer months we recommend dosing your cat with Bravecto every 8 weeks whether indoor or outdoor!

Pet of the Week! Coco came to us two weeks ago hit by a car with some very serious pelvic fractures. Coco was initially unable to walk but had good spirits and was ready to fight! After two weeks of kennel rest, pain medications, laser therapy, lots of lovings and (too many) snacks Coco walked right out of our hospital! Coco still has a ways to go and we will be seeing lots more from her as we monitor her progress and consider any surgical procedures but she has come so far! SAH loves you Coco!!
When you realize it’s only Tuesday.. 🤣 Coco has been hospitalized with us for a while and these are her normal antics! She keeps us all amused throughout the day! I’m sure we will post more about her on another day! ❤️😉

Success story time! Lola came to us after being hit by a car with a broken elbow and tibia! After lots of surgery and TLC from our staff here she is taking some of her very first, wobbly steps earlier today! 😍😍
