Pet Pantry Update:

We received a call from one of our seniors who's been with us for years. She is a retired teacher who moved into West Hartford supportive housing. She has a low fixed income

We help intermittently by buying Beneful, his favorite. We turned over 2(4lbs) bags and some doggie biscuits. It is always nice to see Casey. He is a golden oldie with a huge smile πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

β˜€οΈPSA WE ARE ENTERING A HEAT WAVE! β˜€οΈ

This week it is expected to be extremely hot! Please take note that this could be very hard on your pets, and you may have to make some changes to your daily routine!

🐾 Walks should be early morning and late evening when it's a bit cooler/shaded. NO walking on the pavement during the day - you can burn their paw pads!
🐾 NO leaving them in the car while you "quickly" run an errand, we do not tolerate it, and you will face a misdemeanor if your dog shows signs of distress.
🐾 Limit the time they are outside in the yard, and be sure they have access to CLEAN, cool water at all times. You should NOT be leaving your dogs outside all day while you go to work.

Please contact Wolcott Animal Control at 203-879-7620 or Wolcott Police Department. Let's keep our pets safe !!!!!

Thought I would give a Gene update. He is so happy in his TEMU condo. Last month, he had a minor setback with a head tilt and high fever. It's all connected to a middle ear infection. He is much better

I saw him and asked, Do you remember me? He looked at me, closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep. I took that as a resounding No. He is enjoying his days and nights 😁😁😁

Our Neighbors Fund - Nikko Update - $350 Appeal - $124 Raised

On Thursday, June 6th; I was able to meet with dad. He is going to work with the VA and comply with their service plan; therefore, dad will be gone for some weeks. He is eligible for VASH (veteran supportive housing)

Nikko has been placed with a friend until dad returns. I was able to talk to that friend about our commitment to Nikko. He agreed that Nikko requires significant medical care. Nikko has an ear infection; possible eye infection; ticks/mites and a cough. The goal is to get Nikko to our vet Tuesday, June 11th

We have a prior vet balance; therefore, we will need to start an appeal. We are so very low on funds and are awaiting grants

Please spread the word; bring us recyclables and coins. For now, our goal is $1000 but our appeal is for $400 to cover pet food (1 month) and an initial wellness check up

For donations, please click: www.noanimalleftunfedinc.com. Thank you all for continuing to help us help our community pets

Please share, share and share. If our supporters could give $1; we can meet our goal. We need the help

Our Neighbors Fund - Nikko Update - $478 Raised

On Tuesday, June 4th; I made a referral for Nikko and his dad to VA Newington. I have a contact for their veteran and homeless program. I heard back from them quickly

I am happy to share that Nikko and his dad are scheduled to meet with their licensed Social Worker on Thursday, June 6th. He is an appropriate referral. With conversation; we agreed to house Nikko and his dad to ensure the visit

From donations; we were able to house Nikko for Tuesday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 5th. We are going to pay for Thursday, June 6th and Friday, June 7th. Thereafter, he will be in the hands of the VA

All new donations will go towards Nikko's wellness checkup. He is stable but not healthy. We will focus on him if not this weekend, Monday. I won't be able to do much until I have some direction from the VA Social Worker

Below, please find the receipt for 2 nights housing. This includes more rotisserie chicken and sweet tea

For donations, please click: www.noanimalleftunfedinc.com. We will continue to share all receipts. Thank you all for continuing to help us help our community pets

Our Neighbors Fund - Nikko Update - $400 Appeal - $459 Raised:

This is Nikko, a German Shepherd registered service animal who is currently living in the woods with his dad. Dad is a former Army Ranger who fell on hard times. I met with both yesterday and turned over Nutrish - 2 (12lbs); bowls; p**p bags; treats; rotisserie chicken, sweet tea; foam trays (25 count); plasticware (48 count); foam cups; papertowels and bottled water (24 case)

This morning, I made the referral to Newington VA, Licensed Social Worker for the Homeless. They responded quickly and are going to call him. The goal is to get them off the streets. I am meeting dad later today for more rotisserie chicken and a bus pass

We are placing this post for help with Nikko. He needs to see the vet. We are very low on funds and need help with this case. We are going to schedule an appt with Vet for Pet for a wellness check up and flea/tick treatment. Nikko's fur is dry and he has some ticks around his ears

Please give what you can. No amount is too small. We will show all receipts for transparency. For donations, please click: www.noanimalleftunfedinc.com. Please share, share and share

Thank you all for continuing to help us help our community pets. I will update as I can re: his homeless status

For any money left over; we will use to place both in a local motel
