Meet Burke! ๐พ A few weeks ago, he came to see Dr. Green, our neurologist, after struggling with limited mobility in his hind legs and difficulty walking. An MRI revealed an intervertebral disc herniation and spinal cord compression. Dr. Green performed surgery to remove a significant amount of disc material, and now, just 3 weeks later, Burke is back on his feet and getting stronger every day! Weโre so proud of this resilient boy and his amazing recovery journey
Last week, we had a special guest at our ER and specialty departmentโHudson! He made himself right at home, almost drifting off to sleep in the cozy atmosphere. He and his owner Samantha were pleased with the exceptional customer service provided by our CSRs and kindly allowed us to share this heartwarming video with you all!
Meet Bandit! He's our new CSR here at VetSpecs. He's a little nervous...but it's only his first day!
Meet Hudson, navigating his new reality with strength and determination. ๐ Still adjusting to life in a wheelchair, but every step forward is a milestone. Today, he approached his family with a quiet resolve, marking progress in his journey. ๐ช Despite a spinal injury in February, Hudson is undergoing rehab to regain his mobility with our rehabilitation practitioner Krista O'Brien. He's rocking his walking wheels wheelchair! Way to go Hudson!
Meet Taffy, she's a 7-month-old poodle mix! Krista, our rehabilitation practitioner is putting her through the puppy paces with strength training and conditioning exercises. Watch her nail the puppy version of "push ups." We're excited to watch along as she grows stronger with Krista's help!

This is Misty, a 4 year old French Bulldog who presented to our hospital barely able to walk. Our neurologist, Dr. Green, determined that Misty had a herniated disc in her back that would need surgery to correct. This video is prior to surgery, keep an eye out for our next post (Misty post-surgery!)
This is Apollo just 2 days after a ventral slot surgery for a herniated intervertebral disc in his neck. He had an MRI and surgery with our board-certified Neurologist, Dr. Lauren Green. When Apollo first came in, he was unable to walk or use his front legs. He is going home today on his 10th birthday. Happy birthday Apollo!
Weโre so proud of our Associates, who work so hard to care for your pets, and take care of the future of veterinary medicine every day. Thank you for being part of our story.
Houdini with Dr. Galbo
This is Houdini. He gets very stressed going to the veterinarian so Dr. Galbo suggested his owner try a little medication ahead of time to ease his stress. I think it worked! Check out his pictures in the comments!
