Whatever is going on, know that finding friendship and community is far more important than embracing fearful narcissists.
I (Kevin) thought so yesterday, and I still do today.
Sam (and you) are part of that friendship and community, of course.
Hope to have a new ep on November 17.
Thanks

Episode 3.5
Less Neckbeards More Youth Group
(Broadcast on November 26, 2023)
In which Sam has completed watching the sci-fi anime Pluto on Netflix, and Kevin has been watching Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, also an anime on Netflix.
Also, Kevin saw The Marvels and again puzzles over the "Marvel is finished" doomscroll-bait that seems to happen when there is a superhero film with multiple women antagonists, most of whom are not white. Also, Kevin drops a few thoughts on the podcast Bibble and its' graphic novel adaptation, both written by Jordan Morris who has a new graphic novel coming out called Youth Group

Episode 3.4
Fincher v Bay v Robots and winner gets a WWUHFfie
(Broadcast LIVE on November 19, 2023)
In which Sam has begun to watch 2 anime series on Netflix (Pluto and Akuma Kun) and Kevin has (barely) begun to watch Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and has watched the new David Fincher feature, The Killer (also both on Netflix). Also, we muse on how Warner Bros seems to not want to release films they have created anymore, we think back on our Fincher rankings and how Worst Fincher > Best Michael Bay, and we revisit our 1st WWUH Film Awards (aka The WWUHFfies) from 2003.

In which Sam and Kevin talk about “ Extraordinary” (the Hulu comedy series about a “normal” 25 year old living in London on an Earth where most humans manifest superpowers around age 18), “M3GAN” (Gerard Johnstone's feature about a robotics engineer (Allison Williams) who builds a life-like doll that turns dangerous (currently streaming on Peacock), “Bruiser” (Miles Warren's feature about a 14-yearm old boy (Jalyn Hall) who turns to a charismatic loner (Trevante Rhodes) for help after being beaten up, which affects his relationship with his father (Shamier Anderson) (currently streaming on Hulu, and partially checked out by Kevin)), “Three the Hard Way” (the 1974 so-called “Blaxploitation” action feature directed by Gordon Parks Jr., with Jim Brown, Fred Williamson, Jim Kelly and Jay Robinson) and “Black Samson” (another 1974 so-called “Blaxploitation” feature directed by Charles Bail and starring Rockne Tarkington and Carol Speed, with music by Allen Toussaint), plus a timely update on the current and upcoming cinema schedules at Real Art Ways and Cinestudio, as well as a little bit on local theater events.
