Genesee Valley Pheasants Forever compromises 5 counties around Rochester, NY. Our goal is to improve pheasant habit and food plots for pheasants.

This chapter started in 1996. A group of conservationists and sportsmans came together to form the Chapter. Pheasants Forever is unique in that all money raised at the local level stays with the local chapter, We are able to choose our projects without requisitioning funds from the National Organization. Each year we have a Annual Banquet at Lodge on the Green Part House, 2288 Ridgeway Ave. The p

urpose of this event is to discuss past projects and raise funds for next years projects. Every year we have two youth events, namely a spring shoot at Honeoye Fish and Game Club. Kids learn safe gun handling along with the basics of trap and s***t shooting. Theres no cost to youth and lunch is also provided. In the fall we have a youth pheasant hunt at Honeoye Creek Inlet CDEC lands. Dec provides pheasants and members provide hunting dogs, training, and guided hunts during Saturday of Youth Pheasant Hunting weekend. We also provide funding and or support for grasslands plantings to provide nesting cover for pheasants, We also provide corn,sorghum, and buckwheat seed to provide food for wildlife.
