I’ve dreaded this day since the moment I met Dora all those years ago. Austin said he wanted me to walk his favorite girl on days he couldn’t make it to manayunk. She became one of the most important beings I ever met and I knew if I ever had to say goodbye, it would be one of the hardest. Dora, like Rusty, had such an opinion. The stars had to aline just right for her to go on an actual walk, and even then it was one hundred percent her walk and every right or left turn was dictated by her very strong opinion. Every adventure with her was unknown and special. She would wake up at 4 or 5 am to go potty and her amazing mom, Lynn, would humor her daily. For years they would take a 6-7 am stroll to the dog park and coffee stand. Everything in our days were very much surrounded around Dora and what she wanted… and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I am forever grateful for Dora. Knowing her has made my life so much happier. Lynn, thank you for giving us the gift of Dora. Thank you for allowing us to care for her especially during these last two years when things started to slow down for her. We love you both endlessly.🌺
