Our blue blagdon mare SD Don in Style lost her baby last year. To say we were heartbroken is an understatement. Our friends at RLR in Edmonton, Alberta were kind enough to allow us to repeat the breeding to their 2023 international Gypsy cob of the year champion stallion SD Empire.

This guy apparently couldn’t wait for his debut trying to beat the heat down here in Louisiana. He’s a little early and a lot spunky with a striking single blue eye like both parents. Grandsires are SD The Don and SD Apple Jack. With undeniable quality breeding we are super excited to introduce:

Outstanding up and coming young Gypsy cob stallion with presence we were very fortunate to match our mare Khaleesi with….his first US born foal should be special. Bred in England by the Down family of SD farms. Imported to Canada and owned by the Baird family at River Lane Ranch. We’ve never seen a bad picture of this guy and in person he’s that good.

This fella was one of two who started it for us with the Gypsy Cob breed. We’ve grown him from just a few months old. We’re proud of him and he’s developing into a wonderful trail partner. 4 years old this summer and not done filling out. 😳
