Our office will be closing at 3 p.m. today, December 31st, 2024 and we will be closed all day tomorrow, January 1st, 2025. We will resume normal business hours this coming Thursday January 2nd at 8:30 a.m.

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Please note that our office will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th so our staff and doctors can enjoy time with family and friends celebrating Christmas.

Our normal office hours will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 26th.

HOLIDAY SAFETY TIPS:
* No table food, candy or bones. These can cause digestive upset and make your pet very sick.
* Keep ribbons, electric cords, light strands and other decor out of reach. Cats especially, with their curious nature may try to eat or become tangled in things that may cause them harm.
* Allow your pet a safe, quiet place to retreat from unwanted visitors and holiday chaos. Consider pheromones such as Feliway for cats or Adaptil for dogs to help create a calming environment. If you need help with pet anxiety, reach out to us.
* Do not allow pets access to alcohol, caffeine or medications.
* Some holiday plants such as mistletoe, poinsettias, lilies etc are poisonous. Keep all plants and flowers out of reach.
* Supervise burning candles so pets don't bump into them or knock them over.

With a little supervision and consideration, the holidays can be a safe and joyful time for all of us, even our furry family members!

This little one was found by one of our clients this morning, Wed Nov 13th on Rt 136 near Belle Vernon, PA. She is microchipped but the chip is not registered so no way to trace the owner at this point. Missy although only recently joining our team, has become a valuable asset. With many years of experience in the veterinary field, she has recently accepted a position with us as our new practice manager. She brings energy, enthusiasm and encouragement to our team. Her gentleness and confidence are helpful when handling fearful or aggressive pets and when not doing management duties, she may be found assisting in an exam room, working with a patient in our treatment area or at the front desk greeting and caring for our clients. We are happy she has become part of our team!

Ashley has been with us from the beginning. She wears many hats! Her main area of expertise is helping our patients to recover from anesthesia. Her attentiveness and gentle encouragement as they wake up is unparalleled and so important for each dog and cat that we care for. She maintains all of our lab equipment and also monitors our lab inventory, making sure we always have what we need to care for our patients. Assisting with ultrasounds, helping our doctors with exam room visits and returning phone calls or texts are all part of her daily routine. Her vast experience in so many areas makes her an amazing technician and her warmth and kindness allow both staff and clients to feel at ease and enjoy being around her.

Larissa is a CVT and was our practice manager in the past for many years. Recently, she left us to enjoy time with her family and new baby. We are hoping to have her rejoin us part time in the future to work in our surgery and dental departments. Her years of experience coupled with her concern for our patients make her an amazing technician! Lori is a CVT that has worked with us in the past, but recently moved into the human dental field. This fall she returned here to help us in our surgery and dental areas for a few months. We appreciate her great skill and efficiency as a technician and her positive, upbeat attitude that brightens up our office. We are thankful for her return this season!
