We started in a mobile home community within Holland, MI, and developed what we called (for lack of a better term): "Phaedra's Pherals". We supported the feral community that Phaedra was born into, by giving them food, shelter, and medical care. If left up to the management of the park, the cats would have been trapped and dispatched of. Most of that community lives on Social Security, Disability, or unemployment, which is what makes this task of helping so daunting and why we are in need of assistance. We have saved many feral kittens, seven of which are blind, and hope to be able to continue saving them and getting them in a TNR Program (trap, neuter, release). Anyone wanting to help "donate", we have two ways people can donate:

He’s a two year old bearded dragon named “Vegas”! Who ever thought someone would walk into a dealership with a lizard! 😻🐶😻🐶

We are going to ask you for your help for a completely different reason than normal.
This is our amazing friend Lindsey. Momma met her when grandma Sue was is the nursing home and loved it when we would take Cappy to visit. Lindsey was born with spina bifida so life has never been an easy road but she has an amazing smile. A while ago, she was diagnosed with cancer and lost most of her leg, the cancer came back and she lost the rest of it. Momma told her she needs to try a different disease like hemorrhoids or an std, but Lindsey never listens to momma and her cancer is back. Not much can be done at this point as more tests are ordered and Hospice is keeping her comfortable.
This is where we need YOUR help. She loves to read and would loved to read the books momma has written but since we’ve not been able to afford to get them published, we would have to have them done at a place like Staples to be printed off for Lindsey. It would cost at least $100 to print off each one and there’s five of them, so we need to come up with at least $500.

This beautiful girl came to see us, late Wednesday night and stayed all day yesterday. Took her to the Humane Society to get scanned (we don’t have a scanner yet) and found out her name is Iris! They called and left a message for her owners on file and will hopefully be reunited with them today!

Heard the most annoying noise last night, worse than nails on a chalkboard, while playing games online with friends. Finally got up to investigate and it was Pinky!
She had decided that when Fred had gone outside to grab something that she would go with him. Being that Fred is legally blind and that Pinky has a masters degree in stealth, he had no idea she was “chilling” on the deck.
Anyways, back to the noise…
The noise was her nails on the slider door as she was trying to get back in. She happily came in as I opened the door and as a reward for helping her, she burrowed her nekid butt under my shirt to warm up.🤦🏼‍♀️
I’m thankful she never strays and that’s the reason why she has an AirTag collar. 😻🐶😻🐶

Now that our puppy panic is over, we can openly share the latest tale of our Beetlejuice! Sadly, there’s always that one person that wants to label someone as negligent or careless when it comes to animal issues such as this, but this boy is too smart for his own good so we have to constantly be one step ahead of him. Anyways…

Momma has a medication that is an injection. Beetle got his fuzzy butt behind the baby gate and grabbed couple things off the kitchen counter to chew on. The main item of choice to satisfy his teething/chewing habit was a brand new box of pen needle tips!

Called the vet clinic as we flipped the living room furniture upside down, just in case we could not account for all 100 pointy, little tips. After deducting how many were found whole, how many had teeth marks, and what had been used… all have been found and thankfully puppy crisis averted.

This boy is so naughty, stubborn, head strong, smart, goofy, sneaky, adorable, and drives us absolutely crazy… we wouldn’t change him for the world!! 😻🐶😻🐶

Have you hugged your black cat on Halloween?
Aurora is doing good since the passing of her sister, Nebula. We were a little worried as she’s been quiet but this morning, she was running on her cat wheel and she always did that with Nebula so I’m guessing she knows Nebula will always run alongside her!❤️😻❤️

Nebula is gone. I’m heartbroken as I prayed we would have more time but alas… it was not meant to be. Sadly, we don’t have to money to have her cremated so for the very first time in my life… I’m having to bury one of our furbabies in the yard… it sucks and I hate it.

We need some prayers for Nebula. She’s not doing good this morning, a bit dehydrated and not really wanting to eat, plus she’s having a little trouble breathing. We knew with her diagnosis that we could have month possibly weeks but she’s beat the odds so far.
I’m going to monitor her on the room camera as I have to work all day and pray for the best. Let’s hope she’s just having an “off” day and will be back to running on the wheel with Aurora by the time I get home.

Anyone else’s furbabies extremely restless last night??? Both Beetlejuice and Tripley were constantly barking and would not sit still! We finally had to put a lead on Beetlejuice so he’d settle down with us but they still had sudden bark fests.

Trying to corral a puppy to do an eye check is sometimes like putting a collar on a flea… The swelling from his bug bite has gone down so Beetlejuice doesn’t need an emergency trip to the vet.
