A message for EEC's valued customers, friends and families,
Essex Equestrian Center has always strived to be anyone and everyone's home away from home. A place where you could come to escape, to bond with horses, make friends, and to know that family is not only blood relatives, and sometimes has four legs. A place that can teach you compassion, forgiveness, perseverance, ambition, determination, grit, and responsibility. A place where you can form an unbreakable bond with an animal so graceful and beautiful, inside and out. A unique sport that has seamless communication where no words are spoken between team mates, just the exchange of heartbeats and souls.
Built in the early 1900’s and family owned and operated for over the last 20 years, we have been the starting place for kids and adults alike to find a passion and form irreplaceable bonds with other riders, trainers, and horses. From the very start of meeting the riders, pairing them together with our amazing horses, and watching the breath-taking growth and success they all achieve, has made our hearts so full.
It breaks our hearts to announce that Essex Equestrian Center will be closing it's doors for good on Monday December 19th.
All of our horses will be rehomed to only the best of homes and our older herd of ponies and horses will be going to retirement to enjoy a big grass field that they so deserve.
Although this era is ending, we look forward to following and watching all the success of our trainers, staff, riders, horses, and life long friends that we have met over the years.
We owe the utmost of thanks and love first and foremost to our cherished horses, as we would not be able to make Essex such a special place with out them. We owe them everything for all they have done for so many of us, what they have taught us in and out of the saddle, and for the love and healing they provide us everyday.
We also owe the world to our amazing, dedicated, loyal, and hard working staff. From the front of the office to the staff in the barn, to our talented and giving trainers, none of this has been possible without them. And last but not least, all of you….our clients…but more importantly, our family. Each and everyone of you are what helped make this place be a home away from home for so many. We love you, appreciate you, and hope to stay in touch.
Thank you for making the last few decades so memorable and so hard to say goodbye to.
Please share pictures, memories, words of thanks to your trainers, horses, friends, etc so that we can all remember why we all fell in love on Woodland Avenue all those years ago.
Ride On.
