MY BACKGROUND AND BIO:
Hi there!
My name is Kristin (Ginger is my nickname 😊) I am 33 years old, and I own and operate Ginger’s Paw Pals. I just recently moved to West Palm Beach from St. Louis, Missouri where I was born and raised. My passion and love for dogs, and animals in general, started before I can even remember.
From the day I arrived home from the hospital, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by animals. We’ve had at least one dog in our family since I was born, and for that I couldn’t be more thankful. My father has always been an extreme animal lover, of all shapes and sizes, and has passed that love down to my sister and I. From the very beginning he taught us how to care for, love, have fun with, train and respect our canine/furry family members 😊 Our English Bulldog, Gretchen, was my very first best friend! We also had guinea pigs, chinchillas, birds, snakes, lizards, and as many different animals as my mom would allow my dad to bring into the house. My experience with animals reaches far beyond just dogs, and for that, I’m so thankful.
Not only did my father’s passion for animals show in his personal life, but he chose a career as a K-9 police officer. His K-9 partner, Dinah, quickly became a family member, and she taught me that dogs are not only fun, cuddly, furry family members, but are also extremely loyal, intelligent, supportive, and brave animals who are so much more than just pets.
After finishing his career as a K-9 officer, he continued to train dogs on the side, and does even to this day! I’ve been lucky enough to learn so much from him by attending lessons, and watching him work with our family dogs at home. All through high school and college I would make extra money by dog walking and overnight pet sitting for family, friends and whoever would let me really! I loved every second of it, but never thought I could make a career out of it.
When it came time to choose a career of my own, I decided to pursue my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2015. All of my other jobs, besides caring for loved one’s pets, thus far had been in childcare. I love kids so much; I thought it was going to the perfect career for me. But ultimately, I decided mainstream teaching, wasn’t what I wanted to do. So, I looked for other avenues in which to use my degree, and found nannying! I was lucky enough to be employed as a nanny with the same wonderful family for 9 years. But the time came this past summer for my next journey in life to begin.. moving down here to Florida!
Now that I’m here, I’ve decided to leave the life of caring for human children, and want to enter a career that is my true passion in life; Taking care of and loving on human’s fur babies 😊 I am offering dog walking and pet (any, and all!) sitting services all over the West Palm Beach area. I would love and appreciate the opportunity to meet you, your fur baby, and to help whenever and however necessary! I promise you won’t find anyone who is more loving, dedicated, responsible and caring with your fur baby than I would be. I treat every animal I meet as if they were my own, and can guarantee you would have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is being well taken care of, with me. With my life-long experience with dogs in my personal life, as well as my father’s teachings on walking and caring for dogs, along with my professional child care knowledge, I believe I would make the perfect fit caring for your furry loved ones.
