—Coco learned her Focus Exercise quickly. One smart pup!!!
—We start tempting Coco with hand movements but no verbal permission! She does great!!!
—She even ignores food that falls on the floor!!
—Coco is becoming an expert on her Focus Exercises!!!
—Coco working her Focus Exercises!!!!
—Coco is learning to look us in the eye!!!!
—When she looks at our right hand, then looks us in the eye, we mark it with a “Yes” and reward with her food from the opposite (left) hand.
—We do this because Coco is so smart, we don’t want her to think she is telling us which hand she wants!!!!!
—Coco is learning to ask permission! Something she is not used to!
—The Focus Exercise creates communication, guidance, trust and establishes leadership in a kind & fun technique!
—Coco has a slow start with her Focus Exercise. This was a tuff one for her! She did not like looking us in the eye to ask permission.
—Coco’s a smart cookie! She really didn’t like the idea that we have control over her food. And has tried for several days to act as if food is not important to her.
—We know better!! LOL! Once she figured out all she had to do is look at us, she got the food!! Then she tried to tell us which hand she wanted it from!!!!!
—Hades begins to show us a more relaxed tail. As he gains confidence, his body language improves greatly! —He is now making choices to test his Human. Just checking to see that we are paying attention. #GermanShephard #gsd #sunkak9training

—As we continue with Hades Silent Training, he is learning to keep his eye on the Human and follow.
—When he is watching us and we give a hand signal, once in awhile Hades chooses to ignore us by turning his head & eyes away from us.
—Hayes tries a little shenanigans. Notice that when we give him a little affection, he understands this as permission to jump up. He lacks confidence at the early stages of his training, so he chooses to jump up from behind.
—We are doing Silent Training with Hades. He is receiving corrections when not following his human, and when he chooses to ignore us.
—When we give him a hand signal, and he looks away, that is him choosing to blow us off.

—One of Hades first lessons. Not much of a lesson for him, yet great for us to see just where his head space is. Once we got him past his screaming, and I do mean ear bleed screams, as his owner calls it!!!
—We will be working Hayes with a lot of Silent Training !!!

--FINALLY!!!!
--Anyone that follows our Focus Exercises knows that we usually get results in the first 1-3 days ...... Well, Rockie is the new record breaker!!!!! 14 days, to get him to just look us in the eye, and ask for permission to take his food.
--Everyday, Rockie would just stand or sit and look at our hand, staring at the food, and tremble in uncertainty and fear.
--Then, like a light bulb went off in his head, he barked a few times in his crate. We thought he had to go outside. But, when we did that he just stood there. took him back, he barked some more. We decided to try the Focus Exercise for the 39th time!!!! Yep! we attempted it 3x's a day for 13 days and on day 14, Rockie decided he figured it out!!!!!
--Here's what happened ........

--We have our hands full with this little guy!!!! Rockie is used to Growling, Lunging, Barking and Biting to get People to back away from him. This is how he has learned to create space around himself when he has fear anxiety & panic attacks.
