My wife and I have been breeding dogs since July of 2014. We started with Great Danes and then moved on to Golden Retrievers. Breeding AKC registered dogs has been a family business for over 70 years as my grandma began breeding in the 1950s. Then my sister began breeding in 2006 and bred Labradors, Boxers, Golden Retrievers, and German Shorthairs. After me and my wife were married she fell in lov

e with breeding so we started with Great Danes and then we added Golden Retrievers. We do offer Full AKC registration and we only sell AKC registered puppies. All of our puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee, a baggie of dog food and anew owner packet, that includes some training info as well as their AKC papers, a shot record, and a bill of sale. We are a small batch breeder that spends a lot of time with our dogs and we strive to offer the best customer service to new owners. We are USDA and Missouri state licensed and are constantly updating our facilities.

Please remember to buy from breeders that breed for health and temperament not color and conformity. So many people buy Great Danes they are told are the best, and then lose them sometimes within the first year I have been hearing more and more stories from people who are wanting a puppy, telling me they had one and lost it after becoming very attached and how painful it was. Don't be a victim do your research and remember gene diversity is more important than the dogs markings.

Our Story

Here at Boulder Oaks Kennel we strive to provide the healthiest, smartest, And most loving furry companions to loving homes. We fell in love with Golden Retriever and felt that everyone should experience the love of a Golden Retriever. Then we saw how heart breaking it was for our friends who lost their Golden after only one year to a health defect and decided that should never happen to anyone. After hearing about many defects and issues with unregistered, and improperly bred dogs, we decided that someone needed to breed for health, so that is what we do. We have yet to see any health defects from any of our adults or puppies, and we will keep it that way to ensure that everyone has access to a puppy that will live happily for many years. We only breed Golden Retrievers and we absolutely love them they are the smartest and most loving dogs we have ever raised. They seem to naturally have VERY FEW health problems as long as they are bred properly. We have had no problems as of yet. We guarantee you will fall in love with these dogs just like we did!
