Cbar3 Horses Breeding, training, lessons, sales, & photography We stand 2 stallions to the public. Bux Dunit Commando and Jaz Buenos Comet.

This page is primarily used to promote the breeding aspect of our horses, but also an insight to what we do with them. I train our own horses and help friends with their training needs. Training horses has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy watching the progress the horses and their riders make.

Peanut is just so sweet, adorable, and pretty! Such a mini make of his dam. He’s always using his hip to stop and turn, and likes to run. He should mature around 15 hands and is going to be a very outgoing boy.

Butter is getting thick! He’s 2 weeks old.

I got an update on one of Rattles yearling c**ts that I sold earlier this year. He is looking nice! I may have to do this cross again.

I love hearing how the babies are doing and photos. This one makes my heart smile. 😊

I’ve had a few clients ask me if I start outside horses. Yes, I do. I am limited to the dry season as I don’t have an indoor arena. This season is generally from May-October, depending on the weather that year. 99% of my training occurs outdoors, in a round pen or pasture. Most people I know ride outdoors, so this is the ideal setting.

Horses are worked 5 days per week. I always start with ground work and training progresses as each horse allows or is ready for. I will not push a horse too fast and skip steps as this only creates holes in their foundation that are found later in their riding career. The training fee includes hay, board, & training, as well as 1 lesson per week while in training.

If you’re a returning client with a youngster from my breeding program, I do offer a discount. The youngster coming for training doesn’t need to be from my breeding program, but you do need to own one. Monthly fee is $900.

The fee for new clients is $1100.

Other discounts may be offered. Please inquire.

Emma brought the pony up to the barn today. She got a bath, bridlepath trim, a good grooming, and a little ground work. She definitely wasn’t thrilled but I’m sure she felt like a beauty queen afterwards. The look is priceless! 😂😂

I have a HUGE decision to make. I do not need or want 4 stallions. My junior stallions will be 3 next year and can start standing. So many options have crossed my mind. Who to geld, who to sell, not sure exactly what to do.

First thought was to geld Rattle (Bux Dunit Commando) because he doesn’t have any big names and no one really knows him. He’s my escape artist & most vocal at home. Loses weight every spring. However, he puts the best minds on his babies and they’re all so beautiful! That long hair gene is so pretty! Easy to work with and so versatile. He does anything I ask of him in any discipline. One of my favorite all time horses. Dunalino, can throw just about any color of foal based on the dam.

Considered selling Bravo (Jaz Buenos Comet), mainly because I don’t use him for anything and he needs a job other than just breeding. Plus I don’t like his head, but that’s a personal opinion. Everything else about him is amazing! Conformation, disposition, big bone, great feet, well muscled, sure footed, reliable, and never forgets his training no matter how much time has gone by. Very much western & ranch type. 100% foundation, Jaz Ranch bred, homozygous black grulla. After telling people how great he is, I’m second guessing my idea of selling him. Aren’t many like him out there, especially in our area.

Phoenix (Metallic Phoenix) has a big name stallion and is by a home raised mare, also Rattle’s dam. Big name sire, Metallic Cattack by Metallic Cat. He’s quick, sensitive, catty, and will be so versatile. Nice hip, great coloring (rabicano with some fancy white), great disposition, smart, athletic, negative across the disease panel. I’ve already received a lot of interest in breeding to this boy, but wasn’t willing to breed him until next spring. He’s going to be awesome and keeping him a stallion.

Biggles (Dunit With A Mobster) is also by a big name stallion, HF Mobster, and out of one of our best mares, Dunit Slickntwisted by Dunit With A Twist. Great pedigree and color, cremello & splash 2. Good bone, big feet, short (might reach 13.3 hands) but that doesn’t stop his mom, Lily, at all. She’s broken arena records in gaming, does any and every event you put her in, competes to win, any level rider can ride her, and she’s so sweet. He is her duplicate. Super easy to work with, so smart, and has a puppy dog disposition. He’s negative across the disease panel, except carries one copy of IMM. He doesn’t have the typical desired stallion look to him. My first thought was to sell him, but now my thought is to geld him so we can put his talent to use in all aspects and arenas.

So, I am on limited time to make a decision. What to do…
