Meet Fig! This sweet, playful pup was taken in by the Bitty Kitty Brigade, a nonprofit usually dedicated to kittens. Fig was diagnosed with Persistent Aortic Arch, which made it difficult for her to eat properly. With the help of a medical grant from the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, Fig got the chance she deserved. 💛

After a successful surgery, Fig's life has been completely transformed! She's now eating normally and thriving in her loving forever home. Her new family adores her, spoiling her with endless playtime, long walks, and cuddles. 🐶

This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on our incredible manager, Liz! Not only does she keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, but she also plays a vital role in ensuring that both our staff and our four-legged campers have the best experience possible. In addition to celebrating Liz, we’re also highlighting one of her (many) favorites —Gilda the Irish Wolfhound!

With decades of experience in pet care, Liz has worked with everything from reptiles to horses, making her an invaluable resource when it comes to understanding and managing a wide variety of animals. Her deep knowledge of dog behavior combined with her leadership skills, allows her to create a structured, enriching, and safe environment for both our furry guests and our team. Whether it’s handling customer concerns, supporting staff, or planning and executing our exciting monthly enrichment activities, Liz is always up to the task!

Managing a busy, high-energy place like Camp Bow Wow is no small feat! It requires patience, adaptability, and a true passion for animals—and Liz has all that and more. She seamlessly balances the needs of our customers, staff, and dogs, all while keeping a positive attitude and a smile on her face. We are so grateful to have her leading the pack and making Camp the fun, safe, and welcoming place it is today.
