Iowa law requires proof from your veterinarian that your fur-baby is current on Parvo/Distemper combo and

Rabies for any and all grooming services. Puppies are required to have a minimum of 2 Parvo distemper combo shots before being groomed.

Our Story

Starting in our current West Des Moines location over 7 years ago, as a franchise touted as the world’s first bakery for dogs, we added a small grooming facility in the back portion of our store. Due to overwhelming demand, our grooming department quickly outgrew itself. Due to a franchise agreement, we were unable to expand our grooming services in the store. Once our license had expired, we decided to expand our grooming department to meet the demand that we had previously been unable to service, and thus change the name of our store. Our goal remains the same. To provide top-notch, impeccable grooming services to the West Des Moines community, while still carrying many of the same unique treats, chews, dog food, toys and accessories that we have always carried!

Shaggy To Chic Boutique is now equipped with an expanded, full service Grooming Salon! We provide an excellent standard of care for dogs and their owners. We have worked with many senior pets and special cases such as rescues. Shaggy To Chic Boutique is a small business, therefore we have the time to make it personal. We are proud of the fact that we are not an assembly line for grooming and that your fur baby receives our groomer’s individual time, attention to de-”tail” and love. Our services include everything from nail and face trims to baths and full groom.
