Meet one of our July Boarders of the Week, Penny! Everyone here loves when Penny boards with us because she gives the best cuddles. 🥰 Penny’s parents told us, “Penny is a 6 ½ year old mini goldendoodle who loves people more than anything. She also likes walks, her ducky, hiking, kayaking, and bananas. 🍌 Penny is super friendly and always enjoys going to JCAH for check-ups and boarding. She is a sweetheart and we love her!”

We couldn’t agree more with Penny’s parents. We’re looking forward to seeing her again next time!

Check the post below for a few tips on keeping your pets happy during firework celebrations this week! ❤️🐶🐱❤️

With the Fourth of July right around the corner—and celebrations involving fireworks already starting—it’s time to think about how are pets are impacted. Here are a few ideas for this Independence Day:

🐾 In the event your pet manages to escape, make sure he or she is wearing a collar with identification and your contact information.

🐾 Keep your pet safely indoors during the fireworks shows. Even animals comfortable in many social situations may not do well with the loud noises and flashing lights.

🐾 Ensure your pet(s) have access to their favorite place to hide—their crate, under the bed, a closet.

🐾 Put favorite toys and longer lasting treats in their safe spaces to make it more fun.

🐾 Before fireworks begin, close the windows and shades. Muffle the sounds of fireworks by turning on music or the TV.

Meet one of our May Boarders of the Week, Casey! She is a 13 year old Chihuahua mix, and everyone here is obsessed with her. No one can resist her full body wiggles! ❤

Her mom told us, “Casey is a sweet, snuggly girl! She loves pets and treats.” We can’t wait to see little Miss Casey again next time!

Say hello to one of our recent Boarders of the Week, Daisy! Daisy has been a frequent flyer since she was a puppy 9 years ago. She usually comes for daycare once a week to see all of her human and dog friends. 🥰

Daisy says, “I love going to Jordan Creek for boarding or daycare. They love me and I get to play. When I stay at home, I have some chores. I find and pick up treats and snuggle my people. They can get lonely!”

Her parents say Daisy knows when they are on their way to JCAH because she barks the whole drive!

Being able to have time and actually go hiking with my dogs.

Always having to pay the cheese or ice tax for all my pets. 🧀

Many of our long-time friends and clients remember our former Kennel Manager, Diana Pauley. We are so sad to announce that Diana passed away last Saturday, April 20.

Diana was adored by Jordan Creek Animal Hospital clients and staff—and by every animal she met! Diana will be greatly missed. ♥️

🐾What is your favorite part about working at JCAH?
I can’t pick just one thing! I love spending my days surrounded by dogs and cats. I also love whenever I can brighten someone’s day. Also, I have the best coworkers!

🐾What is something that you have always wanted to learn?
I recently inherited my grandma’s guitar, so it would be cool to learn how to play!

🐾Describe your dream day off.
I would spend the day at Walt Disney World!

🐾What is a favorite moment with one of your pets?
JoeJo stole a hamburger right out of my grandma’s mouth so we started calling her the Hamburglar! 🍔
