Client education, preventive medicine, and the personal and professional growth of our staff through continuing education are all important factors that contribute to the quality of care we provide. We are very proud of the superior boarding service that we offer for our patients. It has been a very popular aspect of our animal hospital. 🐾What is one thing people might not know about being a kennel attendant?
➡We definitely have funny nicknames for all of your animals because we love them like our own!

🐾Do you have any fun stories to share since working here?
➡I accidentally locked myself in one of the big dog kennels one morning while putting a dog back after a walk. I had to wait for someone to walk by and let me out! 😂

🐾If dogs could talk, which breed would be the sassiest?
➡ Oh Huskies for sure, they’re already so vocal!

🐾 What is your most heartwarming moment working at JCAH?
➡Even though I just started in January, the pets have started to know who I am and they get excited when they see me.

🐾What is one thing people might not know about being a kennel attendant?
➡ When I started, I didn't realize how much the kennel and hospital sides (of JCAH) work together. Especially when patients board overnight, we talk to the hospital staff about how we can help those patients recover.

🐾 If dogs could talk, which breed would be the sassiest?
➡ Poodles because they walk and act like they own the place!

Our "Dog Walker Week" introductions continue with Hannah!

🐾 What is your proudest/most heartwarming moment working at JCAH?
➡ There was a time when a dog who was boarding for the first time was very afraid and did not feel comfortable with people petting him. I spent some time sitting outside with him until he was comfortable enough to allow me to pet him and he became less afraid, so I thought that was sweet! 🥰

🐾Do you have any fun memories to share since working here?
➡ Before certain holidays we get together and make special treats for the dogs and cats staying at the clinic, and that is always a great time!

🐾If dogs could talk, which breed would be the sassiest?
➡Chihuahuas!

🐾Do you have any favorite pets that come to JCAH?
➡My favorite dog would have to be my favorite fluffer, Sammy! She was actually the first dog i walked when i started here and i still visit her every chance I get (she is featured in my picture!)! My favorite cat would have to be my boy, George Burns! He's such a sweetheart.

🐾 What is one thing people might not know about being a kennel attendant?
➡ While it can be hard work, it's definitely rewarding with all the animals you meet! You get to bond with these animals and nothing is better than going into work and seeing your favorite dog/cat!

🐾What is the funniest pet name you've ever heard?
➡Dexter Zen Snowball Felix and more! This dog had 6 names (although I can’t remember them all!) because each of the client's kids got to give him a name!

➡70 degrees, sunny with partial clouds, relaxing in a hammock under a flowering tree with some good music playing.

🐾What is the most interesting thing you have learned while working at JCAH?
➡ Animals come in all shapes, sizes and personalities, just like their people 😊

🐾 If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be and why?
➡I would be a swan, mainly to fly and swim but also to be prettier than the other birds!😍

🐾What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone bringing their pet to board with us for the first time?
➡ Don't forget that your pets will be in good care, we make them feel at home! We take care of them like they are our own pets!

🐾What is the funniest pet name you've ever heard?
➡ Tater tot!

🐾 What is your favorite part about working at JCAH?
➡ Working inside a vet clinic--I love working with all the dogs and learning more about cats and their personalities. And all the employees are super nice.

🐾What is one thing people might not know about being a kennel attendant?
➡It’s more work than people think, especially on the weekends! We take care of so many different pets--giving meds, feeding them, walking them, and keeping everything clean so that the pets have the best stay possible!

🐾Who is your favorite patient that we see at JCAH?
➡ I can’t just pick one--we have the sweetest patients EVER! But some will hold extra special places in my heart because of the amount of love they show to me!

🐾What is the funniest pet name you've ever heard?
➡ Chicken the dog, Swim shady the fish, Alexander Hamilfin the fish.

🐾What inspired you to become a kennel attendant?
➡I love working with and being around animals, and I’d like to become a veterinarian, so it’s a place to learn more and do a job that I love!

🐾If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be and why?
➡A blue macaw because they are my favorite animal. I’d like to fly around in the wild since it’s so beautiful.

🐾What is your most heartwarming moment working at JCAH?
➡ Seeing Maya come to board and knowing she now is in a loving home! (Maya is the dog we posted about recently that was looking for her FURever home...and she found a great one! 🥰)

➡Doodles, definitely!

🐾 What is your proudest moment working at JCAH?
➡ Honestly, my proudest moment was when a dog I met the first day working here was stand-offish with me, but now after almost 3 years he runs up to me and cries for me to pet and cuddle him! That relationship we have now is special to me. 🥰

🐾What is one piece of advice you'd give someone bringing their pet to board with us for the first time?
➡ Bring something that reminds them of home, like a shirt that smells like you or their favorite toys or blanket. Having something that can remind them of home will make it a little easier for them to feel safe here.

➡️ How much baby talk we do! 🥰 How we learn to recognize dog behavior and adapt our own behavior to help them.

🐾 Do you have any fun stories to share about working at Jordan Creek Animal Hospital?
➡️ Too many to pick just one!
-Kyzor and I sing to each other.
-Merry Christmas every time he came in from his walk he would try to lay down just inside the door so he could get belly rubs. Would NOT move until he'd had enough. No nevermind how long it took and how many other dogs needed walked!
-Penelope loves to jump on my back and play with my ponytail/pigtails. She doesn't jump off easy either.
