Starling is a female, approximate 12 lbs., perhaps Bearded Collie mix puppy born in our rescue on June 2, 2025. Starling is a sweet little girl that loves playing with other dogs and toys. She is still young so needs to work on house training and kennel training
Starling and her brother Crow are in a foster home with a teenaged girl and a crew of foster brothers and sisters. She is very confident for her age; she was the first to run into the grass, tackle stairs and take a dip in the puppy pool. She is the instigator of all puppy mischievous schemes and the first to crash once she's cause maximum chaos! She is a bit more independent and the most likely to go off on her own for a quick nap or an investigation in the back yard.
Her momma is 35 lbs., and we don't know who daddy is, but we expect Starling to be a medium sized dog full grown, likely under 45 lbs. she has the cutest scruffy little face and her coat is a bit coarse, more like her mother's coat than many of her smooth coated siblings. Starling will do well with dogs, cats, and kids with supervised introductions, training, and experience.

Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
STARLING HAS NOT COMPLETED HER VETTING AND WILL NOT BE SPAYED UNTIL 09/24/2025. APPLICATIONS ARE ONLY BEING ACCEPTED FROM WITHIN A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER SHE HAS BEEN SPAYED.
