R***r is a gorgeous 3.5-month-old brindle perhaps Heeler/Shepherd mix puppy. He is smart and already knows commands like sit and lay down. He is a bit cautious of the world but is quickly learning to socialize with both dogs and humans. R***r absolutely loves snuggle time and belly rubs! He will require an active lifestyle due to his high energy level and would thrive with proper training to channel his energy. He is currently working on leash training as well. It is unknown how he would do with kids, but age appropriate children with proper manners should be fine.

Lady is a low-key companion who enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle-her ideal day includes cuddling on the couch, often nestled in a soft pillow or blanket while her humans are nearby. She's perfectly content being left out to roam while her family is away for work (6-7 hours per day) and has never shown any destructive behavior or accidents in the foster home. She is a quiet and well-mannered lady who just wants a calm, loving space to call her own. Lady currently shares her foster home with 3 adult medium/large dogs and one playful foster puppy. While she tolerates the puppy, she's not particularly fond of the puppy's energy and would do best in a home with either older dogs or no other dogs at all.

She's been wonderful with the children in her foster home (ages 9 and 13), and she enjoys their company. Lady has not been exposed to cats, so we're unsure of how she would react to them. Lady is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy the quiet life and be cherished as the sweet companion she is. If you're looking for a calm, cuddly dog who will be your loyal friend, Lady may be the perfect match for you!
She is a 5-year-old, perhaps Terrier/Chihuahua Mix, and weighs 17 lbs. After making her way to Iowa, Lady can be a little timid at first and still finding her way in a new environment, but she's incredibly affectionate once she feels comfortable. She's fully house trained and does well on a leash.

Chai is just like the drink warm, sweet with just a bit of spice. She loves belly rubs and snuggling but is also looking for outside playtime. She is learning to be brave with loud sounds and new experiences and has caught on to house training and crate training very quickly. She's a smart pup that could do well in obedience or agility. She is learning to listen to her furry foster siblings request for space. She has done well with other dogs and a cat.
Chai is a 3.5-month-old, female, perhaps Heeler/Shepherd mix that weighs about 20 lbs.

A magical sweet and easy going scruffy teddy 💕

Pogo Paws is approximately 7 months old and weighs 10 pounds. Pogo Paws is a bouncy boy who's quickly learning how wonderful life can be and is still a little shy around men and takes his time warming up, but he's very comfortable with women. This sweet boy walks great on a leash, enjoys watching the world go by from a window, and is house-trained. He's still learning the ropes of some doggie basics, so he'll thrive in a home with patience where he can continue to grow and flourish. He was a local surrender where life proved to be very hard for the owner and dogs. The past is behind him and he is ready to flourish with you!

Fine dining requires formal attire. Kitten Macaroni wears it well!!! Will you help him find his home before the holidays?
This boy likes to chirp and vocalize while he runs about, and isn't afraid to tell you when his food bowl is empty. He LOVES wand toys and shows off his agility with high jumps and flips. He needs a home with another playful cat (maybe even his playful mama!) to help him run off his energy. Momma Penne is FIV/FeLV negative.

Momma was found outside friendly and pregnant and Iowa Stars for Animals was looking for rescue placement. We agreed to take her in and she gave birth (03/19/2024), outside one day before rescue arrival.

Adoption fee special for kittens over 4 months is $25.00 which includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines/cares, and microchip. Adopt Macaroni and Momma Penne together and the fee is sponsored by their foster mom.

Seriously??? What are you waiting for???
This girl is as wonderful as she is cute!!!

Robin is an approximate 10-month-old, female, 47lb, perhaps Pitbull Terrier mix. She was recently transferred from another rescue to Hope after coming from Oklahoma where she was saved from euthanasia. We are so glad this girl found her way to our rescue. Robin is house trained, kennel trained, and knows sit. She does well with other dogs but has a tendency to chase cats and want to play with them too much so a home without cats would be best. Robin loves kids and has even met a 4 month old baby that she was smitten with. Robin needs some work on learning not to counter surf and keeping her feet on the ground when greeting people. She loves to snuggle and is the sweetest girl! Robin loves people and wants to please. She is treat motivated so her continued training will go pretty smoothly. She is active but fairly calm and gentle at the same time.
