Volunteer Terry shows off sweet Simba! He is an 11 year old boy full of love and orangey goodness. Simba is gentle and mild-mannered and loves to spend his day in a warm snuggly spot waiting for someone to come in and show him some attention. His motor starts up if he sees you coming! No one can resist Mama Mia! This 1 1/2 year old girl has been through so much in her short life! Abandoned and pregnant when her family moved away, she was brought to a nearby shelter by a neighbor. When that shelter recently closed, she was one of 5 kitties we took in. Laser lights and wand toys are her favorite to expend her playful energy and she loves attention from the volunteers. Mama Mia also likes to explore and will come out to the kitchen to help supervise chores and make sure her Peach Room is getting the right amount of food. This stripy sweetheart is looking for her very own person who will play her favorite games and give her lots of love AND a furrever home. Please come meet Mama Mia iand you won't be able to stop singing!! Estimated date of birth is 3/3/23.

It is sometimes very overwhelming for our new kitties to be placed into one of our rooms. Sweet Salem can be found in a safe spot where she can check out how things are done, but if you find her, she loves to be petted. You will be over the moon when you meet Galileo! Come in and discover that this handsome tabby boy will roll around and show off his sweet belly for petting while he purrs contently. Eloise! Eloise arrived last year very shy and scared and would hiss if you came close to her. Given time and using the meat tube treats you donate, our volunteers have made great progress with her! Even without enticement I was pleased that she accepted my petting and perhaps even enjoyed it! Gentle and mild-mannered, this sweet 3 year old girl loves to sun herself on the Blue Room catio shelves and play with wand toys with the volunteers. Thursday with Tyler the Toughy! Not many of our volunteers are brave enough to pet Tyler, but Sander has made such wonderful progress with our tough boy. Tyler use to hiss fiercely at you if you approached his corner and though he might still glare at you to give you a warning, he has slowly come to realise that we are not as bad as he once thought. It gives us pleasure to see him snuggled in a tower bed or a cuddle puddle with his favorite buddies and you can come close to him now and he still looks relaxed! Perhaps he doesn't want to lose his tough guy reputation, but we are seeing signs of a softy!

With all of new kitties streaming into the shelter needing care and socialization, darling girls like Sienna get overlooked. It is not easy for her to see her roommates get adopted and new ones come in. She came to the shelter when she was young and shy, but blossomed as she got use to shelter life. She has many friends including Jet & Newton and you can often find this quiet girl on the catio when the weather is nice, stretching out on her back full length when the sun is out to catch the warmth on her belly! She has perfected the roly poly move on all surfaces and loves a thick mat or cardboard scratcher to hang out on when she is not checking out the wildlife on the catio shelves. Sienna is not a room greeter and often goes unnoticed because the new friendly ones want all the attention. We do hope this sweet special six year old girl catches someone's eye soon! Pepper wants to be picked please! Pepper is another new sweetie in our Peach Room! A mom to 2 litters before we rescued her, Pepper is now getting her share of attention from the volunteers! She happily nestles herself between other mild-mannered newbies like Pancho and his best friend Marigold on their tower beds.
