3 year old lovely Leo is one of 4 new kitties we took in from a recently closed shelter nearby. With lots of orangey long-hair goodness, this little lovable lion is mild-mannered, gentle and oh so soft and sweet! All of these changes in his life must be so confusing to him and we would want his next move to be a furrever permanent one with his own family to love! Come meet him this Saturday! The first to greet you in the Blue Room is Fernanda! A sweet petite miss who was living outside being fed for 3 years by someone who recently was getting evicted when we were asked to rescue her this past summer. Fernanda loves attention and is very mild- mannered. She greets you when you walk into her Blue Room, watching you and hoping that you notice her and how could you not? This 8 year old darling probably cannot imagine what a warm safe home is like, with her very own comfy bed or warm lap to curl up on and endless pets and love. We hope someone falls in love with her and gives her the comfort and love that would make her so happy! Come meet her- she will be waiting to meet you!

Two newbies in our Peach Room for Whisker Wednesday- Pancho and Autumn! You recently met handsome 2 year Pancho, who has settled nicely into shelter life. 1 year old calico Autumn is a little unsure for now, but she looks like she will be ready to accept our attentions very soon (if she hasn't already since this video was taken last week)! Our profile photo princess is Dulcie! She is aptly named as Dulcie means "sweet" and comes from the Latin word dulcis. With her stripes and spots and darling face, Dulcie loves company, but is not as bold as her uber-friendly roommates to come right out and ask for it. Mild-mannered Dulcie gets along with other gentle kitties and enjoys looking out of the large windows at the wildlife while waiting for her very own family. Simon, the tuxedo boy, has a sweet and mild mannered nature. and is friendly and affectionate.
Penelope, the dilute tortoiseshell girl, is the quietest of the three, but has been coming out of her shell more everyday. She is starting to play more if her brother Theodore gives her a chance!
Theodore, the tabby boy, has an independent spirit, with lots of kitten energy. He loves to play and can be a toy hog! He is also very friendly and affectionate.
All three are bonded, but we are looking to adopt Simon and Penelope together (if we cannot find an adopter for all three!).
With our shelter filled with so many new rescues, we do not have room to have them come tomorrow to the Open House Event, but they will be visiting the following Saturday, November 2nd. Meanwhile, we are taking applications for them!!

Our new pint-sized princess- Emmy (oops called her Ellie by mistake)! This tiny one year old is a love bug with a darling dainty meow. We have taken in 18 new kitties, most from dire situations, and we are trying to get them all to the vet for their exams and spay/neuter as they have spilled into our office/bathroom/conference rooms because the infirmary is full. As our volunteers scramble to care for them, we could use donations of any of the foods (and treats) on our list to help feed and socialize these newbies as they are moved into rooms. Here are two of our newest intakes, placed in our Peach Room and ready to start life with a new family! Bubba & Munchkin (they came with these names) were rescued together. These two friendly plushie girls are well socialized, very happy to have lots of attention and are a feast for the eyes! Bubba is a busy 6 year old Calico who already is known as an escape artist as she doesn't understand why she has to stay in small Peach Room when there are places to explore! She shows her happiness with shiver tails and quick plops on the ground. Munchkin, a gorgeous 7 year old Siamese, seems more content right now to find a safe warm spot to watch her new roommates. She does love pets and will come down to give you love rubs and accept more attention. Both girls could not be lovelier and I have a feeling they are excellent lap warmers also (not tested out yet!). When miss Kate isn't hanging out with her bestie Gus, she is loving the attention from our volunteers! This lovable lady is as sweet as can be and misses her mom who passed away suddenly. Kate and Gus hope to find a family to love and entertain with their adorably (and especially in the case of Gus) goofy antics! Come meet these two Saturday.
