What a great kick off concert for the summer series. Montgomery Road brought new life to a lot of old favorites. They gave a great show with a full band of amazing musicians. Charlotte Emery’s soulful jazzy voice was on full display
Only matched by the surprising Dance moves of young Elwell.

It was great to have so many children there visiting the goats and riling the hay ball and dancing!

Our next concert is Sunday June 2, 7:00 PM with Gerry O’Connor and Kevin McElroy, Irish fiddling at its best. All concerts are by donation to the band and open to the public.

If you want to get on our mailing list please send us a message here or send me a text at 207 329 5942. This will keep you updated on any changes and additions.

See you soon.

We are very exited to have our 2024 Saccarappa Concert Series set and ready to begin on May 24th. This year's series features many fine singer songwriters, stellar instrumentalists and no shortage of lively and entertaining personalities. In addition to amazing music we will have grilled (and packaged) GraKakes. Conditions permitting, there will also be a fire to gather around afterwards. Fernie Girls Rainbow Eggs and Sarah's amazing homemade sourdough bread will be available, and later in the season, produce and flowers from the gardens. Conditions permitting, there will also be a fire to gather around afterwards.

If people would like to sooth their soul, the Presumpscot River and a swimming hole are just steps way. It is a terrific place to take a rejuvenating swim prior to, or after, the concert.

We are also a short 10 minute walk from Downtown Westbrook. There is plenty of free parking as well as many activities, more music and numerous fine restaurants. From Downtown you can walk up Mill Lane and follow the path along Saccarappa Falls and the River into the Conant Trail and the Homestead. If sidewalks are more your preference you can easily wind your way up past the Rose Garden and up to the Conant Homestead. There is also parking on the street, and at Ernie's Cycle Shop.

Concerts are under a large hemlock tree on a sprawling lawn amongst the gardens. They are very family friendly with goats and chickens to visit. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed, cleaned up after, and consideration is given to other attendees.

As usual concerts are BYO chair/blanket, food and drink. (We will have water and bug spray available.) There is a $10.00 - $15.00 suggested donation with all funds going to the Musicians.

Finally, we are currently doing a GoFund me to purchase a few needed items that can help the series in many ways. A sound system, an accessible port-a-potty, and we would like to build an extension to the green house for an indoor option. If you can support this, or would like to find out more, the link is just below this one on the Conant Homestead FB page.

Thank you all. We love the community that is forming around these concerts and the farm. Please feel free to pass this to others. All are welcome.

Also if you want to be put on our mailing list please PM us at the Conant Homestead or send and email to [email protected] and we will get you on it.

Cheers,
Michael, Malory, Tulleigh and Sarah
