More than $300,000 in new donations from foundations, corporations and individuals to help support veterinary and animal-welfare groups in war-torn Ukraine were reported today by the American Veterinary Medical Foundation.

Roundworms do pose a significant risk to humans. Contact with contaminated soil or dog f***s can result in human ingestion and infection. Roundworm eggs may accumulate in significant numbers in the soil where pets deposit f***s. Once infected, the worms can cause eye, lung, heart and neurologic signs in people.

Children should not be allowed to play where animals have passed f***s. Individuals who have direct contact with soil that may have been contaminated by cat or dog f***s should wear gloves or wash their hands immediately.

Today marks the end of an era. It is our last day of business at Dehler Animal Clinic. The team wanted to thank all of our clients for their kind words over these past few months. We also wanted to give a very special thank you to the whole reason this clinic exists, Dr Robert Dehler. Dr. Dehler has always said that he isn’t running the Dehler School for Veterinary Medicine, but the reality is he really was! So many staff members over the years have been inspired by him to pursue their dreams whether it be continuing in veterinary medicine and beyond.
So many people and animals of all species and sizes have been touched by your influence over the years, there may not be a way to truly express how grateful we are. The world is a much better and far more interesting place having you in it.

While we continue to celebrate the legacy of Dehler Animal Clinic this final week we can’t forget to honor one of Dr Dehler’s biggest supporters. Leanne holds the official title of longest term staff member by far, being a part of the Dehler Animal Clinic team since 1995. She has been supporting Dr Dehler, his practice’s mission as well as his staff practically since day one. Over the years Leanne has worn many hats from being a dog groomer, breeder, and office manager all the while raising a family. Her sociable nature has helped immensely in making lasting relationships with our long term clients as well as gaining us new patients and friends along the way. Thank you Leanne for sticking with us through thick and thin!
