Caregiver Cafe Kick-Off Party!

This FREE community event is happening Saturday, March 8th, from 12–2 PM at The Pines Ranch (379 Chalice Rd). Caregiver Cafe is a new program supporting caregivers with space to work, relax, and connect—plus affordable childcare and fun activities for kids!

I’ll be there leading a drum circle, and I hope to see everyone join in!

🐴 Fun Fact Friday 🐴

Did you know these amazing animals are living symbols of the American West? Here are a few fascinating facts about wild mustangs:

Mustangs are known for their strength, resilience, and adaptability, thriving in some of the toughest environments.
They are descendants of horses brought to North America by Spanish explorers over 400 years ago.
A wild mustang can run up to 35–40 mph, making them one of the fastest horse breeds in the wild.
The term "mustang" comes from the Spanish word "mesteño," meaning "wild" or "untamed."

Have you ever seen a wild mustang or worked with one?

💞 Happy National Hugging Day! 💞

There’s something magical about a hug—whether it’s from a loved one or a gentle nuzzle from a horse like Pistol. This photo captures a special moment of connection, reminding us of the comfort and healing that can come from the simplest gestures.

Take a moment today to share a hug with someone (or something!) you care about. You never know how much it might brighten their day—and yours too.

Who will you be hugging today? 🐴💞

Today, we reflect on two important moments in history.

We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering commitment to justice and equality inspires us to this day. His words remind us:
🌟 “The time is always right to do what is right.”

We also recognize the second inauguration of President Donald Trump, marking a continuation of leadership and service to our nation.

Let today serve as a reminder of the strength found in unity, the courage to lead, and the power of hope for a brighter future.

Sunday Reflections at Veterans Rescue Ranch

Sundays are a time to pause, reflect, and reconnect. At Veterans Rescue Ranch, we’re reminded every day of the resilience and strength of the veterans we serve and the unconditional love of the rescue animals that make this place so special.

This week, we’re grateful for:
🐴 The progress our veterans make as they work alongside our gentle mustangs.
🛠️ The hard work of our volunteers who keep the ranch running strong.
💞 The support from our community that fuels our mission to create a space for healing.

As we look forward to another week of impact, we invite you to join us in making a difference. Whether it’s volunteering your time, purchasing merch, or donating, every contribution helps us continue this incredible journey.

🌟 Together, we’re walking the path to healing. 🌟

It’s Get Involved Saturday at Veterans Rescue Ranch!

Our mission thrives because of the amazing people who dedicate their time, energy, and resources to supporting veterans and rescue animals. Here’s a glimpse of what our fantastic volunteers have been up to:

🐴 Cleaning out stalls and the chicken coop.
🐓 Feeding and watering our rescue animals.
🚜 Running cows back out after they’ve broken through fences.
🛠️ Repairing fences (because, yes, those cows can be determined!).
🏗️ Assisting with building projects that keep the ranch running smoothly.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a difference, here’s how to get involved:

✨ Volunteer: Whether you have a few hours or a whole day, we’d love your help with projects around the ranch! Message us on Facebook Messenger to get started.

As we reflect on 2024, we are so proud of the milestones we’ve reached, from empowering veterans through self-guided healing journeys to hosting community-building events. We’ve enhanced our programs with grants for sound healing to promote healing and firewood distribution to support our community’s essential needs.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re thrilled to ramp things up! With plans to expand drum circles, EAL sessions, and community support through the firewood bank, as well as deepen our own skills and certifications, we’re ready to make an even bigger impact.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Together, we’re creating a space for veterans to heal, grow, and thrive. Here's to a powerful year ahead!
