Moonshine is my best boy, he is gentle, kind and takes care of all my beginner riders! Unfortunately, with him being my beginner friendly horse, he gains some bad habits over time from people who don’t know how or when to correct him. So every now and then it’s quite beneficial to get on him, getting those bad habits back under control. Plus it’s fun to ride a broke horse that has buttons!

Long overdue update of our girl Barbra 👑
She popped some sutures and we had a bit of a rough patch…But she has been allowed some free time in the pasture to graze with the other horses since her sutures are all out! Which she has been truly enjoying! We still have her on some antibiotics and still washing the wound and medicating at least twice daily. But hopefully we are on the mend!

Update on the Barbra girl! Today she got her drain tube out and some new sutures. Vet believes she is healing well! We got more antibiotics and pain meds but if everything goes smoothly we should have her sutures come out in 21 days! Turn up sound 📢 on the video to hear her snore 😴

We unfortunately had a bad injury to my main riding horse…Barbra got excited about some neighbor horses being loose and ran into a metal fence hinge and not only tore herself up pretty good, but chipped her scapula. We are just feeling very grateful that it was a chip and so far the vets believe her scapula is not fractured. Huge thanks to our amazing neighbors for not only dropping everything to come help me when I had a trailer malfunction and driving me all the way to the vet in Canon City, but also for letting her stay in their stable for awhile to recover in a stall. Please keep my sweet girl in your thoughts and prayers as we closely monitor her to make sure she doesn’t get any sort of infection during this long healing process.❤️‍🩹
